It will say Nan when no data is received by the board. Likely cause for this is bad connection between the sensor and the board or you may have connected it to the wrong pin.

Bro I was had it working on my arduino uno and was confused why it didn't work on the nodeMCU... why the F*CK is the D4 pin on the code the D2 pin?!?! Thanks though

Nan is shown when dara is not received by the board, check you connection, wires, and input pin.
