do you have to open up the server every time or just for this initial set up?
You need to open the server up everytime you want to play SPT. This is like hosting Tarkov in your PC!

so after you do everything to install and set up do you launch tarkov like normal (through bsg launcher?) or through the spt folder somehow??
in the SPT folder run the "aki.server.exe" it'll say something along the lines of good to go or ready to launch i cant remember but after just launch "aki.launcher.exe" then you create an account and done. dont close the server and have both minimized. also dont launch the actual BSG launcher while the aki server is up, it used to be how you get banned

i am recieving an error when i try to run the installer in the folder, for context i had spt before and deleted the folder before now it says this after i click start install Request Failed:

You are getting an error when you try to run the SPT Installer? Make sure you make tarkov installed/updated and if that doesn't work maybe try to redownload the install.
Please show how to install mods! also how do I go back to playing normal multiplayer Tarkov without getting banned? do I just close all the SPT stuff and open regular Tarkov?
Just make you close your spt server and the launcher before you play normal tarkov and you should be fine!
i keep getting an error saying vital tarkov files missing and then its just stops the download idk what to do

Great video, I see it is at 3.8.1 now, will the 3.8 mods work with that version?
No. You have to wait for them to be updated to 3.8.1 before they work properly
You can check out my guide on how to Update SPT! Most of the mods that are still 3.8.0 work on SPT version 3.8.1!
I have a question, I have seen in other videos that they copy the original Tarkov files and paste it in the SPT folder, but I see that you did not do it, so it is not necessary to copy the original Tarkov files and paste it in SPT? No, you do not have to copy the original file into the SPT folder. To play original multiplayer Tarkov make sure you close all SPT folders and applications like the server or launcher and open the regular BSG launcher
Yup just like @D3athmooman said, you do not need to copy paste the original Tarkov files. Just make sure to close the spt server and the launcher before opening the Battlestate Games launcher!

@@Esteban.E10 You do not need to copy paste the original Tarkov files! Just simply start with Aki.launcher once you start the Aki.server.

I do have a video on how to set up the co op, so check that out! You can save your progress, but you can only save progress on SPT.
Sorry just a few questions. Do you have to open and run the server each time you want to play? And then run the aki launcher each time you want to play as well?
Yes! to both questions! You NEED to run the server first then run the launcher everytime you want to play.

@@johnlocke4715 Yes there are AI PMCs, I think they had arm bands 100% of the time unless it was a mod.. Your "save file" is under user/profile which you can always save for backup!

You probably don't have Tarkov downloaded or updated.
Could you make one with SIT (Stay In Tarkov) because I would really like to play it with a friend, but I can't figure it out.
I can try covering a co-op mod, but probably FIKA mod! Correct me if I am wrong, but I believe they are similar.

Try reinstalling the SPTinstaller. I don't know what's happening but I hear this is on going issue for some people.
Also make sure to update your real Tarkov game too!

Do you know any solution to the infinite loading screen? I never had any issue playing SPT until tonight. I couldn't extract, meanwhile my friends were able to do it just fine. I just reinstalled SPT and Tarkov, but I'm stuck on the loading screen before the main menu. I tried looking on the web, but it just does not want to work.
Is it when you start SPT? Or is it when you are trying to extract?
@@SimpleSlime so when I got back, playing SPT, we never had any issues. I’m playing with more people and they just downloaded it yesterday and everything works fine.
So when I die or when I extract and the free-movement camera shows up and I’m able to freely move the camera, but as soon when everyone is ready to full extract, you would have to press F8 to extract fully and everytime when I did that, my screen would just be black with the words, “Press F8 to extract” like its just stuck.
So I redownloaded everything, from scratch and put in my old user profile and my friend is hosting the server, so I start up SPT, my screen would just be infinitely loading before the main menu now. Idk why only I’m being affected.
@@JvangLovesTurtles Hmmm that is so weird... Have you tried to use a new profile? I never seen or heard of such problem. If anything Project FIka discord is your best bet! Im sorry Im not much of a help.

You need to have the Tarkov installed! No question is stupid.. I ask silly questions all the time too!

As long as you don't play live tarkov while your spt is running, you will be fine!
appreciate the quick and concise guide brother. I have an issue/question though. When I run the installer in my SPT folder, I'm getting a red X next to the .Net 8 Desktop Runtime pre-check. I'm on windows 10, any ideas or solution how to fix? thanks

The air isn’t as cracked as they are in pve are they? I honestly felt like pvp Tarkov was easier besides the cheaters. I still want a bit of a challenge still but I don’t want bots lasering me from across the map when I’m prone in a well hidden position.

I could be wrong but I am "pretty sure" you do not need to turn off antivirus since SPT is running a server and game in your PC.

I appreciate you so much its not even funny. Ive played over 3000 hours of tarkov, and Ive watched videos on it since it hit the market. I get very sad when I see whats become of the game, and I cannot take the bullshit that comes with the game anymore. I pray one day tarkov will come back to its former glory and fun

for some reason I could download it just fine, when it runs it just gets stuck at loading screen and doesnt do anything.
Which part of the step are you getting stuck at?
@@SimpleSlime it gets stuck at the splash screen, I can start up the spt server just fine then it goes to the screen where it says its loading tarkov in. you know the one with whatever background you have chosen? and it just gets stuck.

im trying to run the server and it comes up as malware. i go into my antivirus and let it slide but then nothing happens and im right back to it everytime i try and open it
You might have to click "Run anyway" or something similar to that when you are first running the SPT Installer.

You don't have to delete it. You can just play Tarkov after closing your spt and spt server!

how long does the server take to boot
It takes around 30 seconds to 2 minutes? It does not take long at all!
I just keep getting "No patcher available for your version,A patcher is usually created within 24 hours of an EFT update"
Since there was a recent update for Tarkov, you might have to update your Tarkov and re-follow the step.

You can play both! Just make sure to close the server and the launcher before you turn on Tarkov!

For me it says that there is no patcher available and its usually after 24 hours that one is created

Also make sure to update your real Tarkov game too!

I launched SPT with EOD edition selected coming from a regular account, it's pretty astonishing how much shit they get for being a now no longer able to be purchased tier. Unheard is even worse though...
They took away EOD, so if people wants to play PVE, you now have to buy the Unheard which is way too expensive imo...
@@SimpleSlime unheard edition is way too expensive for an exclusive game mode. But it's also crazy the difference in starting gear you're able to get between different editions. Beginning of a wipe and you can have a full stash versus a base game you get like 2 M4s, 2 MP5s and a couple pistols. Or you can get the unheard and start with 2 scoped fully set up rifles.

@@clearegorgon7297 If you have tarkov downloaded, reinstall the SPTInstaller. Make sure you put it into another folder. Then try running the SPTInstaller.

"Stay in tarkov" is the one i have used and got working, most people seem to have it better with project "fika" tho
