THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THIS!! LMAO... I just installed GAMMA for the millionth time and Reshade is NOT working anymore and i was trying to figure out why the hell its not working
I have tried updating through the GAMMA launcher and unchecked the "Delete Reshade DLL's".. but it is still disabled in game. Any help would be appreciated.
As a helper in the gamma discord, I will also note that HD models and ugp can cause a TON of crashes and bugs. It's important to know what you're doing before you start jamming mods in. He clearly knows what he is doing.
To be fair those mods both have Video guides linked in their pinned comments. Kinda hard to mess up at that point.
I use UGP and it is amazing and don't want to play with out it but it has been a nightmare. I don't dare try and add that armor mod pack kvmas or what ever. Ive lost 2 or 3 playthrough between those 2 add ons. The first one I lost I had expert tools 😢
@@willbyrn5920it's not the installing them part. It is the updating GAMMA with other mods on top of it that is when the crashing begins. There is tons of UGP that I've had to get people on discord to either drop me other files or grab alt files out of other modpacks to paste over missing or corrupted bump maps or whatever.
i did not know what i was doing, my game now runs in 30fps

Got your video suggested, damn it looks so good, sadly my GTX 1080 can't handle it 1440p... I have to play on medium to get stable 80fps, this GAMMA mod pack is just insane.

Great video. I use the kvmas & azetrix model merge mod with 0 issues. Makes NPC's look so much better & is a game changer. The newer BaS weapon mod update is pretty good too.

What kind of sharpening are you using? I always feel like my game is either too blurry from all the AA it takes to make 1080p not look like crawling hell insects. Or the game looks super sharp and comicbook like.
If you use latest Screen Space Shaders, don't enable Grass Shadows.
Instead tweak Shadow Cascades for Grass Shadows in that mods MCM menu.
Default grass shadows are a performance hog and don't look that good, while SSS ones not only look better but don't affect performance as much.

i almost spilled my drink when you first said the word "VANILLA" and "GAMMA" in the same sentece, my brain just strugled to compute it, gamma is a mod-pack on top of a MODgame that uses as base a modifyed version of an expansion of a game xd.
just using a standard term so it's easier for people to understand that I'm referring to the default GAMMA setup

Hey nice video. What is your build (CPU/GPU) like and how many FPS do you get on average?
currently bouncing between 2 which I both play at 1440p. My main that I use for gaming that I cap at 60fps is a Ryzen 9 3950x/2080ti. My work pc for recording/editing/creative that I occasionally play on is an i9 13900kf/4080 which I cap at 120fps.
Hey Caj, is the M4 you showcase in the video a part of the gun pack?
one setting not covered that worked wonders for me is enabling DSR in nvidia control panel.
this allows to run the game at slightly higher than native resolution and then have it scaled down - it does great at anti-aliasing and produces very sharp image with no blur or shimmers.
if your gpu can afford it (the game is most often cpu bound anyway) - highly recommended.

@@omgaflyingmonkey anomaly itself - but easiest is to set globally, then you can set the higher res in any game.
Stalker is more gpu bound not cpu.
@@MikhailBardikov right, that's why using DSR, which is dependent on GPU resources not CPU, makes so much sense for this game.
If you're already cpu-bound to say 60fps - why not use gpu-dependent features like DSR (or shaders) to improve image quality? as long as you don't overdo it you're still going to get the same 60fps just with much better quality graphics.
I'm running at 5120x2160 scaled back to 3440x1440 and the game looks amazing - no jagged lines and no shimmering, and performance is the same as when I run native (5600X/4090).
With TFAA, I seem to be getting blurring around heavy movement-based objects (my gun when I sprint, character A.I movement) even with QUINT and DRME enabled. Any way to fix this?..

I think their is a grass/foilage re work coming for gamma - saw it in a clip but cant remember where.
i have a question it might be stupid but how do you get the water droplet lens effect on your reshade.

All the visual mods kill my framerate, but its worth it.

What do you mean when you say reposition? Like being able to lean the gun out to the side for blind fire like tarkov?
@@Mawyman2316 no the specific position of the gun in the view model, so usually fps games have your gun off to the side but id prefer it to be more centre like in the video. You can mod this yourself I just don't really want to lmao

Hello, I don’t want to seem stupid, but could you make some kind of tutorial on installing these mods in a gamma build, for some reason the game won’t start for me. It seems like I’m doing everything right, but the game refuses to start, it takes a while to load and then crashes.Perhaps I installed the mods in the wrong order, but I don’t know which way. So you would help not only me, but also other people, I would be very grateful if you responded 😢.
So you use the Reshade that GAMMA uses but you also use Capa_Sping witch is part of Atmospherics Reshade ?

Hrm, I'm on 0.9.1 but not the latest patch from last week, however I don't have TFAA in my Shader menu only TAA.

@@brainjackt That didn't work, but I found out that TFAA is invisible in default AtmosR preset. Setting that to AtmosR+ makes it appear.

zone reality project doesnt seem to be on the discord anymore? i see an example of someone being told to use a different texture pack instead. did something happen?

How you make grass look so good? i have same settings. grass has like no shadows (although they are turned on in the settings) and the sub surface scattering is on the whole model of grass. not just the tips as in your video.
So gamma worked great with medium/high settings 0.9 but on 0.9.1, even with the stutter plugin in mod organizer, the game cant run at higher than 5 fps and i can't even get out of the starter house in rookie village before my laptop crashes the game

I'm gonna soon upgrade to a 14700k + RTX 4090 both watercooled and overclocked, and see how gamma runs. So far i'm on medium settings on a ryzen 5 2600 & rtx 2060 (trash RAM & other components though) so i can't wait to try your settings.
I'm expecting solid fps at 4K but as the game is not really optimized and uses an old engine, i'm not expecting to run 300 fps lol.

You'll get very high FPS with that type of processor since the older engine loves intel and fast single threading

Edit: For some reaon my reshade settings are missing the TFAA option. Weird as I just did a clean install on my Anomaly and GAMMA.

Got it! Reshade was disabled so I had to follow the steps from his pinned comment and then Press the "Pos1" Key on my Keyboard
I’ve looked everywhere and don’t seem to have reshade with the game at all. I installed the game and the update then replaced the files when asked, game runs and opens fine but the home key doesn’t do anything?
Also for what it’s worth I couldn’t find anything to do with reshade in the game files nor it’s .ini - what I could find online seems muddy and/or dated so I don’t have much of a definitive answer. Any help is appreciated!
your best bet is going to be searching in the gamma discord, there are tons of people so I'm sure someone has faced a similar issue before

Ok I followed your tutorials to the letter, ao HD models to the weapons package, and reality zone 03 everything works perfectly the only thing I noticed in the HUD is that on the left where it used to count the ammunition now it no longer does so, is this normal?

Difficult to say, these are all individual authors and most make mods for the love of the craft. You could probably find some donation links attached to bigger modpacks but those only go to the organizers of the packs and not to the individual authors.

Is there anyway I can make trees from a distance look less pixelated? I know its probably something simple that I'm missing or just not finding but I hate how trees look like they're thinned out when they're far away. If anyone could help thanks! You can. The only difference between these reahades and a body cam reshade is a fisheye lense fx in reshade.

all of the mods except for Zone Reality can be found in the GAMMA discord. ZR was unfortunately discontinued, but you can use the ADEGA texture pack in its stead

I have an r5 1600, 16 gb ram 3200 and a 4 gb rx 480, do you think I can run stalker gamma?
The game runs on a single core of the CPU since that's just how the engine was designed back then. You will struggle but you should able to play on pretty low settings and get 30-50 fps.
I used to have a Ryzen 5 3600, 16g of 3200mhz RAM, and a 1650 4g GPU, and that's what I was able to get out of it
CAPA Spring doesnt work for me, absolutely spazzes out with lighting. Using the same stuff as you and I just cant get it looking even remotely the same.
