Tuesday, Sept. 10th, 2024: Jackie's DMV Forecast: Sunny and slightly warmer today and tomorrow

It will be slightly warmer today and tomorrow compared to yesterday as highs reach into the low to mid-80s, which is around normal for this time of year for the DC-area. It will be warmer, but at least we still have the low humidity. It's a quiet setup here in the DMV through the end of the week, while it becomes active in the Gulf as Tropical Storm Francine is expected to strengthen to a hurricane later today and could strengthen even more (up to Cat. 2) ahead of making landfall tomorrow afternoon. Here in the DMV, some of the clouds associated with the outer fringes of Francine could move into our area late Friday and into the weekend, but we're not looking at any precipitation associated with it.
