I want to tell a cool story about this song. I went with some friends to go see Justin Townes Earle play at MassMoca in Western MA. During the whole show people were non stop yelling out requests and he completely ignored the audience and didn't take a single one. A little later he got to a point where he said "hm, what should I play next?" and for once nobody was yelling so I thought this is my chance and I yelled out "nobody knows you..." and immediatly he heard me and turned his head and was like yes that's it which prompted the many hipsters in the crowd to give me some dirty looks (not that I'm not a bit hipsterish myself but not on that level lol). It also impressed the girl I went there with which was cool lol. Anyway, RIP JTE.

What a great cover song choice! It fits him so well. I have always loved this song (my parents had it on a folk album, I think the Chad Mitchell Trio?). I think it loses something in his lyric change - "nobody loves you" instead of "nobody knows you." But well done. Thanks also to the videographer for the stellar quality.
