      It's not tho. Because then you just end up another big guy lumbering around the ring like great Khali. Vader and bam bam Bigelow got over because they did so much in the ring. Nowadays guys like luchasaurus and Lance archer are over as hell because even tho they're big they can still move like a junior heavyweight. Sabu's thinking may have worked in the past, but no longer. Wrestling fans demand more from the matches. It only works like how sabu thinks because Vince McMahon is an idiot and will pay a guy like omos way more for alot less work than he would pay Leon ruff who is 5x the wrestler omos is. Simply because omos is big. It's stupid and archaic.

    • @PennypackerHE
      @PennypackerHE ปีที่แล้ว

      This is so true. Good advice for a lot of the guys these days. Keep trying to one up each other with crazy ass moves too often has the potential to ruin the idea of it being a competitive match instead of a choreograph fight. Don’t get me wrong there all incredible athletes but it dents the character a bit if the moveset is just like a guy half your size or double your size.
      Sabu impressed me with how well he explains this stuff

      @RAB6969 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@pabloamador667 even as the business changes there are still bits of the old school that you can use to great effect. you just have to pick the right spots to do them. It’s great to have a big guy that can fly but if everybody does it all the time, how is it special or unique? Sabu had it right.

Kick misses and the opponent still falls etc. The worst is when they miss the move and then get up and do it again! No wonder there's no real stars in WWE, you can't become a star following an exact script.

The storylines are horrible, the way the WWE has turned pro wrestling into a friggin cirque du soleil show. And it's the MAIN reason i don't watch it anymore. The only folks that are keeping pro wrestling what it is and should be . Are Japan, Mexico, and Europe. Pro wrestling here in the states has gone too shit and then some. With the exception of AEW which is trying VERY VERY HARD too bring "roots" back into this business. I TRULY hope they succeed and put more heat on the WWE to get back to what it's all about.

    Sabu is wrong about how old ECW was. ECW started as the Tri-State Wrestling Alliance and it started in 1989 before being rebranded as NWA Eastern Championship Wrestling in 1992 and eventually becoming Extreme Championship Wrestling in 1994. ECW closed it's doors in April of 2001. Joel Goodhart sold his half of TWA to Todd Gordon who would then rebrand it ECW who would then partner with Eddie Gilbert and eventually Paul Heyman. Gilbert would sell his half (begrudgingly) to Todd who would then sell it to Paul. The promotion lived for 11 years and 8 months. TNA, at the time of this interview, was around for the same amount of time as ECW.
