I really dislike the additional manufactured sounds you get in many Mercedes and BMW cars when you are in Sport or Sport+ mode. I wish there was a switch to turn it off. Great video, Misha, and really enjoyed seeing an Aston on the Ring with you at the helm.
Looks like Aston, with the help of some AMG parts, made a really solid car. Looks like a great car for road driving and light track work. Suspension is clearly set up towards being road biased, which is where 99% of owners will use it, so it makes perfect sense. A really nice sporty GT car.
Never understood why people complained of about Aston using the M177 in the Vantage - it's very stout and has good tuning potential. Between that and the ZF8 transaxle the powertrain should be pretty bulletproof. These Vantages are pretty underrated and a good used buy in the U.S.

Its like when you and the boys are BS'ing around and say "Yea, mines 7½ inches!!" When really its a good 3... On a hot day.... When the moon is at the optimal spot and gravity is multiplied 3×... Along with the ole stretch and release method nightly for 3 years. No!? Just me? HUH 🤔....
This is my dad his dreamcar. And we were at the ring when Fanatec GT world was there. only 1 aston, and the sound it makes was so good, especially when he upshift.
Beautiful color. Aston paint jobs are incredible in person. Great to see this Vantage on the track. Some day I'll take my older V8 Vantage to Sebring for a track day. Until then, I'll just keep watching this video!
Dude! Our "older" Vantages are built for the track. They are race bred engines. Dry sump, rear weight biased, etc. I have taken mine on a handful of track days and she delivers!
If you ever get in another Vantage, next time put the ESP in track mode (Hold ESP once then once again 5 secs, track mode will show up on cluster) You were driving in transmission track map not track mode.

Just a thought: Because so much depends on the tire: Why don't you sell UHP tires to the (sometimes rahter wealthy) customers at your shop to maximise the experience? And maybe add a lot to your safety as well. Or do you do this already? Whatever, I really enjoy your driving videos, thanks and stay safe 🤝
It's hard to gauge altitiude change in these videos, but i imagine that's why the owner kept quickly opening his mouth every once in a while 🤔 gotta release that ear pressure
I get the constant comparison to the AMG GT but if you really look in to the car its not even close to an AMG apart from the engine components its All Aston they build and tune the engine, AMG just provide a solid motor that Aston basically make their own version of.
Never been a massive fan of Astons, but it looks quite nice in that colour. The owner/passenger didn't show any emotion during the lap, like he was bored or something.
Is it possible to come to the Nurburgring with a scooter to sound a little crazy? But yeah we have plan to do it with my friends and how much does one lap cost for it?
I feel like they need to have Sunday driver hours for the people who need a half hour to do a lap and different hours for sub 9 minute lap cars...just my 2 cents.
This is a beautiful car. I almost bought one. They even made these in manual one or two years I think. The softish suspension ultimately turned me off. I wanted something a little more sportier or track capable. Superb quality and quite a looker.
I thought the stock setup makes it super fun throwing it around mid tempo corners. Super easy to drift. It might not be as fast this way but all the more entertaining. And a great one for traveling.

Lol, The owner looks bored, but I guess he's tired getting up early or long drive from home, I know I can go far as a passenger as I fall a sleep straight away car, bus, train, possibly plane but I haven't flown yet... heard it makes your arms ache... sorry old dad joke. The Springs are 12 k So if you go 20k springs will be better per our test on rebuild car
