Crash test from Global NCAP you mean? Some facts: -Global NCAP tests are done in a controlled environment @ 64kmph - A GNCAP 5 star rated car Altroz recently got split into two. Still 5-star rated bla bla? - THE kerb weight of GNCAP tested altroz is significantly higher than its original kerb weight as disclosed by the manufacturer. - Harrier/Safari still not sent by Tata. Btw harrier also got split into two parts in one accident. I agree with the crash test rating but who’s to say that a private foreign organisation GNCAP is sacrosanct? Surely an Indian govt run crash tests are called for. Also, drive safe. No crash rating will make you immortal.
There is no denying that Altroz is a good car, however the engine is simply not refined be it NA or Turbo. Only build quality cannot be the criteria for which we buy a car.

I m Altroz Dark XZ+ edition owner.. i tell u it's a beautiful,safe and eco friendly Car. But NA engine is underpowered i must say due to its 1200 kg weight..And many of NA petrol Altroz user are suffering from Rattling noise which has no solution as of yet
I own Altroz XZ Feb 2021 model. I feel interiors looks more premium than single tone interiors of i20. 3 cylinder engine is the only drawback of this car. TATA should really work on the engine and give 4 cylinder engine for better engine refinement.
07:20 i20 is anyday better than Nexon for high speed driving just because of difference in ground clearance. If by any chance you have to make a sharp maneuver at high speed, you will surely loose control in Nexon where as will be manageable in i20. Also suspension in Nexon is very stiff for low speed and even a small bump is directly sent into cabin at low speed. Can't understand how reviewers declare it better than literally every other car. Sure it handles bigger pothholes well but that is not everything I guess.

exactly. Aur Iska diesel engine kaafi zada sahi hai. Maza degi 100 percent. And car safety is overhyped now. 100 ke upar koi bhi gaadi safe nhi hai and ye crash test 60kmph pe hote hai jisme almost har gaadi mei bande safe hi hote hai. 3 star aur uss se upar wali gaadiya safe hi hai. And tata ki service, fit and finishing, and engine ye teeno waahiyaat hai. Sirf safety ke naam pe gaadi bech rahe hai.
Its not all about built quality...no doubt tata has better quality but there are many drawbacks like engine noise, cabin vibrations, rattling noise, gear box, driving experience, rear seat confort etc........this is my view...will be happy to hear from you....
Only one limitation- Service. All else are very much refined in all their models. You must test drive yourself...It will be like Tata 18, Hyundai and Maruti- 20 in terms of refinement. But service is pathetic and shameless!
More than anything people opt for Hyundai and Maruti for features and after-sales service and the way dealers treat their customers, I've booked Punch and Altroz and cancelled both just coz the dealer was not approachable and did not provide the required details. I agree they've improved a lot compared to the previous years but not enough to convince customers to trust their brand. TATA engines are not reliable still and the resale value is less compared to MARUTI & HYUNDAI. SAFETY is important but that is 1 in 1000 cases. But service is 1 to 1 case. Hope TATA concentrates on it.

Absolutely. You will get good engine refinement, best class service and good driving experience. Same is not possible with Altroz. It’s under powered 3 cylinder engine with so much noise. I believe Hyundai is still better than Maruti in terms of build quality.

5 star rating doesn't assure you that you are going to get out of the car without any damage , crash test ratings are given in close and artificial environment within speed limit of 60kmph , real world accidents can vary vastly and it all depends on driving , if a person drives sensibly within speed limits he can easily save from any major crash. As owner is saying the car isn't giving him any niggles in terms of cost of ownership . Everything is just perfect in terms of premium feel , average etc. Apart from build quality which actually is a whole different concept . Altoroz build is no way near i20s build quality . Build quality includes- Engine design and layout Fit and finish if interiors and exteriors Repairability factor No. Of times car requires to visit service centre. Etc etc Apart from so called build quality altroz is no where near to i20.
i have same experience before my altroz my brother bought i20 sportz and after from his car i bought altroz . he was so insisting me to buy i20 but now i m more happier than him yeah due to build structure
Even I20 Na Petrol engine is not much powerfull... little bit better than Altroz if you will talk about in engine noise and vibrations but you will still gonna feel underpowered in both the cars. So in conclusion Altroz can be a better option

I am proud owner of a Made In India Tata Altroz .... I have been owing this beautiful Altroz since last 20 months and have driven for more than 16000 KM. The best trip was 2600KM in just 6 days .... don't ever compromise on safety guys.... As far as the Milage is concerned in city with heavy traffic I get 14+ KMPL and on highways I get nothing less than 22KMPL. You can definitely get the best deal with Altroz
Only crash tests do not show the safety of a car, safety of a car means how it behaves in emergency situations and prevents accidents from happening, i20 is a great and stable and reliable product from Hyundai
u r right, in crash test they crash the car, instead of "prevent accident" and checking how will it behave in emergency situations. idoit government IN CRASH TEST DON’T CHECK GREATNESS, STABILITY AND RELIABILITY OF A CAR.

@@vaibhavrawat251 engine is very weak. I own naturally aspirated variant and in 1st and 2nd gear thus car really struggles. I stay in traffic area so most of my driving is in initial gears only and it's not a smooth experience for me. :(
Bro after sales service is also a huge reason to get i20 over altroz. I was going through some fb groups of altroz and i20 both before purchasing. You'll find people constantly posting about car breakdown or some other problems and very bad after sales service. Whereas Hyundai group had posts like how's the milega and rare complaints of car breaking down or engine problems. Fyi, i think i made the right decision and bought i20. I want peace of mind after buying a car.
Tata engines are good & resembles the tractor engine, trucks engines heavy duty & very long lasting , will take some time to upgrade their engine at per with Honda or Hyundai NA car engine with super riding quality experience.

I bought Ford Aspire Titanium plus in Rs.8 lac on road in Aug.2021 n am fully satisfied till now. It's unfortunate that Ford left India but all vehicles are v good. I'm an proud owner of i20 Yes altroz have safety starts but on Indian roads both car will loose in speed accident And about the looks and build quality I20 is a premium hatchback and looks so good and sporty ...but in mileage altroz is the winner Altroz is family car But i20 is a both youth and family car
Buy practical vehicles, which fulfills your daily driving requirement. If you are using vehicles for long distances, look for an SUV or MPV. If there is more city drive look for the suitable car, ease of driving is important. If it mixed driving, look for a safe 5 seater, which can manage both. Such cars are few in the market. Drive safely, I do lot of highway, my observation is, always poor driving leading to crashes.
i20 ka comparison altroz se kar raha h isi se pata chalta h ki 1st tym buyer h. Bhai i20 jitni smooth gaadi koi h hi nahi is segment mein. gear to itne makhan h ki automatic ki need hi nahi h city drive mein bhi. Har baat mein bas altroz tiago ki tareef unnecessary karni hoti h. 3 cylinder engine ka koi compariaon hi nahi h 4 cylinder se.

I had purchased the i20 sportz in 2021 and learnt the driving from the same car. I feel power lag in this car when AC is turned on. Sometimes I have to turn off the AC to get the power back in lower gears.

Hello Ravi Sir....I am Altroz XZ Plus NA owner....I like your video's...Aapke kehane pe hi mene Altroz Liya and it was great decision so far... Definitely build and features what Tata offer in this price point is next level. or me aapake viewers ko kehana chahunga always go for Top or second top model if you are first time buyers. Don't go for base or next to base model.
Your decision is still good bro Altroz is not upto the mark in terms of engine and driving dynamics, but rejecting Nexon is your bad decision. I was an owner of Altroz for 1 year & then sold it and drove i20 too for many months as my friend bought this car, Hyundai's Driving dynamics and complete useful features in magna too that make it more worth than Altroz, now am owning Brezza 2020 under 10 lacs buying compact decision is my best decision.. instead buying Altroz go for Tiago save money, instead buying I20 go for Brezza or Nexon, instead buying I10 NIOS GO for Swift or instead buying punch go for criterion C3 according to my driving experience. I Drove all these cars.
Esi koi kharab gadi nahi hai bhai.. it is one of the best car of its segment.. 3 stars are not so good as 5stars of altroz.. but not so bad as swift and baleno.. i guess its one of the finest car.. just little overpriced.. thats it.. aram se chill rho.. khus rho mast car h.
Altroz main downside it's acceleration lag... Overtake krte samay feel hota hai lower gear pe aur hill climb me... Tata ko 4 cylinder engine dena chahiye... Mera altroz xz hai...
Better to stop watching these channels once you choose and buy the car of your choice. He likes the refinement of the engine, the smoothness of the drive, the service, the mileage, the features of the car. He has no complaints about the car so far but still instead of enjoying it, he's made to feel bad about his choice. He was almost at the point of apologizing for buying that car. Tata provides 3 cylinder engines in all verients of altroz and nexon that might be the reason they manage to keep the car price low then the competition. However 3 cylinder engines are compromise on the refinement. I think this point should be covered while doing the comparison.
Tata provide same 1.2L 3 Cylinder Revotron Engine in Tiago, Altroz, Punch, Nexon to with only turbocharge. So one can easily say tata is not working on engine department😂😂😂. Safety safety safety ... Why not to buy 🐎 their is no even accident issues

I m a owner of i20 sportz, I would say, it's not a bad car. However, I don't say altroz is bad either. It's about your own choice. Mileage and built quality is not bad even. Safe driving is always best..
In October 2020, when this new i20 was about to be launched, I went ahead with elite i20 sportz petrol. And I am really happy with my decision. Also a first buyer and learnt driving in the same.
My cousin brother has this new i20 A Bolero hit it from behind on highway Because of sudden braking as a goat jumped infront of him Speed was around 70-80 First we thought only diggi is gone But as we looked closely there was a huge crack on chassis And the entire body was bent from the mid that's why the doors were also not shutting I was so shocked like, what the hell is this? So pathetic build😞

My family has both the cars. I drive both of them from time to time. its plain stupid to say that altroz offers better stability and ride quality. But wont deny Altroz is built with good materials but altroz lacks fit and finish along with engine refinement. Anyday will choose i20 because of its smoothness and peaceful ride.
Don't select CAR just considering only SAFETY , It would be overall experience and main thing is ENGINE reliability. Tata is great in Safety, but ENGINE and overall satisfaction fails....

being an new i20 petrol owner i would say current ic petrol engine have their limitation where you have to reduce weight and compramise on build quality if you want to achieve 20 plus mileage...you cant get both....but hyundai has done it best in terms of taking near perfect middle ground. so before buying owners must get their priorities right. either go for mileage (maruti) or safety(tata) or take middle ground (hyundai).

a guy despite getting great mileage, smoothness, and space is obsessed about 5 star ncap rating (3 is also okay), and another expert reviewer who himself drives bolero and tigor is recommending not to buy i20. What a joke ! while reviewing the reviewer's talks ideally but while when buying himself a car he thinks practically. So don't get obsessed about only safety rating while ignoring engine vibrations, smoothness, 4 cylinder factor, space and interiors.
There is those you mentioned and the other side is your life. What would you choose? Imagine a Hyundai car with 4 or 5 stars. Keep pushing them . Unless you make them realize they are not going to give you safety. Bahar achi gadiyan banate , India me cost cutting karte.

All new I20 is the right choice during the year 2020. I have the same variant of i20. It's comfort, looks, corner stability, features, design (especially interior) are too good and it beats all premium hatch backs in its segment. Don't compare Nexon here as it belongs to diff segment. First I decided to buy alt**z but then after hearing so many customer complaints i waited and got the delivery of i20. So, don't worry. Its a good car in its segment.
I think owner is too worried about safety rating and not enjoying the vehicle itself. I drove both altroz and i20 naturally aspirated engines and noticed that i20 offers better drivability in city traffic, engine is butter smooth and gains decent enough speed for overtakes and all. Same can not be said for Altroz, you would have to downshift at every speed breaker which impacts drivability. With regards to safety ratings i20 is definitely less safer than altroz but still 3 star is NOT that bad. Drive carefully and enjoy the ride :)

After so much research I finally purchased i20 Elite in 2020 November as this was the wish of my Wife. i regret a lot. Average is just 10 in bumper to bumper and 14 on highways. i driven it Patna to Mumbai and vice versa. But on full load it doesn't pick pickup smoothly. you have to strech a more. Built quality is just rubbish. Braking is very poor too.

Next day subah 6 baje nikle to Indore ke aage dhule ruke. Next day 4 baje nikle 8 baje tak Mumbai. Vaise Dhule na rukte to 1-2 baje tak pahuch jate.

Bhai altroz lene gaya tha ye video dekh k xz version 9.60 lkh ka hai. I20 hi lena pada 9.10 lakhs me mil rahi hai and features and engine better hai. Aur bhi bohot saare reasons hai jaise comfort and space, after service, service cost and major point tha mera dost jo punch owner hai usne muje lene se strict mana kiya.

- A GNCAP 5 star rated car Altroz recently got split into two. Still 5-star rated bla bla?
- THE kerb weight of GNCAP tested altroz is significantly higher than its original kerb weight as disclosed by the manufacturer.
- Harrier/Safari still not sent by Tata. Btw harrier also got split into two parts in one accident.
I agree with the crash test rating but who’s to say that a private foreign organisation GNCAP is sacrosanct? Surely an Indian govt run crash tests are called for.

I own Altroz XZ Feb 2021 model. I feel interiors looks more premium than single tone interiors of i20. 3 cylinder engine is the only drawback of this car. TATA should really work on the engine and give 4 cylinder engine for better engine refinement.

07:20 i20 is anyday better than Nexon for high speed driving just because of difference in ground clearance. If by any chance you have to make a sharp maneuver at high speed, you will surely loose control in Nexon where as will be manageable in i20.
Also suspension in Nexon is very stiff for low speed and even a small bump is directly sent into cabin at low speed. Can't understand how reviewers declare it better than literally every other car. Sure it handles bigger pothholes well but that is not everything I guess.
Gadi achi hai... dont regret... enjoy the ride..! This car has refined engine, fit and finish is good and service is better than Tata.

exactly. Aur Iska diesel engine kaafi zada sahi hai. Maza degi 100 percent. And car safety is overhyped now. 100 ke upar koi bhi gaadi safe nhi hai and ye crash test 60kmph pe hote hai jisme almost har gaadi mei bande safe hi hote hai. 3 star aur uss se upar wali gaadiya safe hi hai. And tata ki service, fit and finishing, and engine ye teeno waahiyaat hai. Sirf safety ke naam pe gaadi bech rahe hai.
Its not all about built quality...no doubt tata has better quality but there are many drawbacks like engine noise, cabin vibrations, rattling noise, gear box, driving experience, rear seat confort etc........this is my view...will be happy to hear from you....

More than anything people opt for Hyundai and Maruti for features and after-sales service and the way dealers treat their customers, I've booked Punch and Altroz and cancelled both just coz the dealer was not approachable and did not provide the required details. I agree they've improved a lot compared to the previous years but not enough to convince customers to trust their brand. TATA engines are not reliable still and the resale value is less compared to MARUTI & HYUNDAI. SAFETY is important but that is 1 in 1000 cases. But service is 1 to 1 case. Hope TATA concentrates on it.

Absolutely. You will get good engine refinement, best class service and good driving experience. Same is not possible with Altroz. It’s under powered 3 cylinder engine with so much noise. I believe Hyundai is still better than Maruti in terms of build quality.

5 star rating doesn't assure you that you are going to get out of the car without any damage , crash test ratings are given in close and artificial environment within speed limit of 60kmph , real world accidents can vary vastly and it all depends on driving , if a person drives sensibly within speed limits he can easily save from any major crash. As owner is saying the car isn't giving him any niggles in terms of cost of ownership . Everything is just perfect in terms of premium feel , average etc. Apart from build quality which actually is a whole different concept . Altoroz build is no way near i20s build quality .
Build quality includes-
Engine design and layout
Fit and finish if interiors and exteriors
Repairability factor
No. Of times car requires to visit service centre.
Etc etc
Apart from so called build quality altroz is no where near to i20.
There is a factor of mistakes from others. Accidents are unavoidable. Which car you sit during it is in your hands.

I am proud owner of a Made In India Tata Altroz .... I have been owing this beautiful Altroz since last 20 months and have driven for more than 16000 KM. The best trip was 2600KM in just 6 days .... don't ever compromise on safety guys....
As far as the Milage is concerned in city with heavy traffic I get 14+ KMPL and on highways I get nothing less than 22KMPL.
You can definitely get the best deal with Altroz

@@vaibhavrawat251 engine is very weak. I own naturally aspirated variant and in 1st and 2nd gear thus car really struggles. I stay in traffic area so most of my driving is in initial gears only and it's not a smooth experience for me. :(

Bro after sales service is also a huge reason to get i20 over altroz. I was going through some fb groups of altroz and i20 both before purchasing. You'll find people constantly posting about car breakdown or some other problems and very bad after sales service. Whereas Hyundai group had posts like how's the milega and rare complaints of car breaking down or engine problems.
Fyi, i think i made the right decision and bought i20. I want peace of mind after buying a car.
Tata engines are good & resembles the tractor engine, trucks engines heavy duty & very long lasting , will take some time to upgrade their engine at per with Honda or Hyundai NA car engine with super riding quality experience.

I worked in Hyundai so knew their built quality etc. See DDS review when planning g to buy car. You will come to know the pros n cons of your dream cars.

I had purchased the i20 sportz in 2021 and learnt the driving from the same car. I feel power lag in this car when AC is turned on. Sometimes I have to turn off the AC to get the power back in lower gears.
Being a asta(iVT) owner i can tell that i20 is a very mature product just the build is a little compromised other than that it is perfect

Your decision is still good bro Altroz is not upto the mark in terms of engine and driving dynamics, but rejecting Nexon is your bad decision. I was an owner of Altroz for 1 year & then sold it and drove i20 too for many months as my friend bought this car, Hyundai's Driving dynamics and complete useful features in magna too that make it more worth than Altroz, now am owning Brezza 2020 under 10 lacs buying compact decision is my best decision.. instead buying Altroz go for Tiago save money, instead buying I20 go for Brezza or Nexon, instead buying I10 NIOS GO for Swift or instead buying punch go for criterion C3 according to my driving experience. I Drove all these cars.

Tata provides 3 cylinder engines in all verients of altroz and nexon that might be the reason they manage to keep the car price low then the competition. However 3 cylinder engines are compromise on the refinement. I think this point should be covered while doing the comparison.
Tata provide same 1.2L 3 Cylinder Revotron Engine in Tiago, Altroz, Punch, Nexon to with only turbocharge. So one can easily say tata is not working on engine department😂😂😂. Safety safety safety ... Why not to buy 🐎 their is no even accident issues
i20 turbo has 3 cylinders and costs a lot more. It’s more refined than Altroz too. But i20 is indeed an overpriced car.

I m a owner of i20 sportz, I would say, it's not a bad car. However, I don't say altroz is bad either. It's about your own choice. Mileage and built quality is not bad even. Safe driving is always best..

My family has both the cars.
I drive both of them from time to time. its plain stupid to say that altroz offers better stability and ride quality.
But wont deny Altroz is built with good materials but altroz lacks fit and finish along with engine refinement.
Anyday will choose i20 because of its smoothness and peaceful ride.

being an new i20 petrol owner i would say current ic petrol engine have their limitation where you have to reduce weight and compramise on build quality if you want to achieve 20 plus mileage...you cant get both....but hyundai has done it best in terms of taking near perfect middle ground. so before buying owners must get their priorities right. either go for mileage (maruti) or safety(tata) or take middle ground (hyundai).

@@ufolibra7900 tata tiago is smaller car less weight hence more milesge. i20 is much bigger segment car hence more weight. my i20 also gives 22-23 on highway (actual mileage tested tank to tank) inspite being much bigger and heavy car then tiago.

All new I20 is the right choice during the year 2020. I have the same variant of i20. It's comfort, looks, corner stability, features, design (especially interior) are too good and it beats all premium hatch backs in its segment. Don't compare Nexon here as it belongs to diff segment. First I decided to buy alt**z but then after hearing so many customer complaints i waited and got the delivery of i20. So, don't worry. Its a good car in its segment.
I think owner is too worried about safety rating and not enjoying the vehicle itself. I drove both altroz and i20 naturally aspirated engines and noticed that i20 offers better drivability in city traffic, engine is butter smooth and gains decent enough speed for overtakes and all. Same can not be said for Altroz, you would have to downshift at every speed breaker which impacts drivability.
With regards to safety ratings i20 is definitely less safer than altroz but still 3 star is NOT that bad. Drive carefully and enjoy the ride :)

After so much research I finally purchased i20 Elite in 2020 November as this was the wish of my Wife. i regret a lot. Average is just 10 in bumper to bumper and 14 on highways. i driven it Patna to Mumbai and vice versa. But on full load it doesn't pick pickup smoothly. you have to strech a more. Built quality is just rubbish. Braking is very poor too.
