1958 Plymouth "Christine" - Old Start, Cold Start in late November.

- Christine's been sitting in the garage since early November because the weather was rainy and cold. I finally found a dry place for her to stay during the winter so she has to move before snow starts falling.
It's 0°C (~ 32°f) outside and she has no choke.
Will she fire up and run?

"Come on Christine! It's OK, everything's the same"
lmao
"Let me tell you a little something about love Dennis. It has a voracious appetite. It eats everything, friendship, family. It kills me how much it eats. But I'll tell you something else. You feed it right, and it can be a beautiful thing, and that's what we have."
You know when someone believes in you man, you can do any fucking thing in the entire universe... and when you believe right back at that someone THEN WATCH OUT WORLD! because nobody could stop you them... NOBODY! EVER!!

"And you feel this way about Leigh..."
"HAHAWHA? FUCK NO! IM TALKIN ABOUT CHRISTINE, MAN!!"
Death to the shitters of the world, in 1979
NO SHITTER EVER CAME BETWEEN ME AND CHRISTINE! NOW YOU WATCH THIS!
Even though 14 of these got destroyed making the movie, it caused a whole lot more to be saved
22 got destroyed making the movie
@@simoneuler7073 Not all of them were actual furies, they used several Savoy and Belvederes.
Although I love “Christine” the movie, I cringe every time I see one of the cars destroyed. ☹️. I agree though, I think long term it led to many more of these beauties being saved.
@@johnd.1849 yeah.
Agreed, this model would have probably been lost to the backwater of automotive history if it weren't for the Carpenter movie.
Pumpkin. Pump the gas pedal 4 times . Apply pressure of 1/4 gas pedal and it will fire up instantly and you will not burn out your starter more. By the way beautiful car
Will need to try that trick with my Edsel when I get it running
come on Christine every thing is alright.
Everything is the same.
Marcus Colvin lol 😝 that’s a pretty and nice car but if I had that car I would be scared shitless
no its not fuck off
Jerry Jerry Christine: 1:06
I was hoping once that car got started that you would hear music coming out from the radio with the music playing don't know why I love you from the Belmonts.
That is such a beautiful car.......they sure don't make 'em like they used to.
I know it and it's a shame that they don't make cars like that no more
Why don’t they
@@lukeawsomeness2359well mostly because of safety regulations and fuel emission regulations.
Cars are all designed in a wind tunnel nowadays (thats why they look the same now) and they have smaller and less fuel consuming engines now. Car safety has gotten much better nowadays, but for the cost of good design of course
@@PU8698 I gotta admit those new cars look like chicken legs.
Agree
She's beautiful take care of her!...
She'll start... but you need these **shows keys**
How much do you want for her? I mean, whatever it is its not enough

She's got a beautiful engine sound.

cmon christine..baby it's alright, averything is the same.. 1:05 i think its better at this time
Christine Plymouth Fury in Europe...super beautifull American Car!!!
we have installed an Electrically gas pump at our plymouth and it jumps up and running easily in -20 degrees celcius. It will save the battery alot and the starter :)
indeed! that and an electric choke :)
Think Christine would start better if she had an electric pump, wouldn't she?
Does it still have the cool start up process?
Super nice paint

What a sound!!! Goosebumps!!!
That color red on that body is just so beautiful!!
Yo anyone else love that beat the ignition made at the begining?
Oh man, I really love that!
I love you Car Christine she’s beautiful
Beautiful car. I know what that's like... I have a '64 max wedge Dodge that is an absolute BEAR to start, even when not cold. But I love her all the same. Take care.
Wow , i love this car and it's really high relliable for a 50's car . But you should really change the starter motor i think it's pretty ruined .
No, she's just pissed at him for some reason...
@@CEOkiller SHE POSITIVELY HATES HIM, AND WILL END UP KILLING HIM.
Owner...
Come on start you pig!
Christine:..
Be careful what you say to me
Owner: ... I'm sorry sweetheart you really are a thing of Detroit Beauty with that vivacious V8 my Mopar Queen !
Christine: Varoom! ...( translation)
Now let's go run over some shitters!
Old Man in junkyard sneaking up beside you: "She'll start."
The Bendix on your starter is not kicking away from the flywheel fast enough!
They all sound like this. Every single one!
I want one so badly 😩
I wish we would have more 50's looking cars driving around, they look very cool indeed.
Absolutely beautiful car ❤
My dad got a plymouth cranbrook 1953
Hola Christine you remember for ever
She’s mad at you! Have you been revving her too much lately?
Yes revving her tooo much that's your problem. You have to treat her like the woman she is. Caress her accelerator, rub your tongue along her panels, slip her into gear and don't forget the lube, lotsa lube. Oh yes she likes all that and she may even let you live until the morning, but I fear that she will not.
No Problem!!! Sometimes she gets flooded. We’ll just wait a little while.
Dont know why I love you, dont know why I care
"Come on baby it's alright. Everything is the same".
It makes that same "putt-putt-putt" sound when Christine drove herself into Darnell's garage after running over Buddy.
Let's go motorvating! 😆 I think that is from the movie. If not then the book.
"Cmon, Christine. C'mon baby, it's alright. Everything is still the same."
Try beating on the steering wheel like actors in the movies do. Oh. Wait. This is Christine. Don't do it or she'll at your face.
A little gas in the carb before cranking goes a LONG way! Check the owner's manual for proper starting procedure. That's not a cold start where I come from.
I didn't like the way he kept the starter going so long. 20 seconds at a time is proper procedure, and yeah a little gas down the carb would have helped.
@@Flagrum3 yeah I hardly knoe shit about vehicles but Ik not to be tryna have it turn over for that long
Great sound
You should've said "c'mon baby, I love you"
Pump it before starting
What do you want for her? I mean, whatever it is... it's not enough
Breaks out the TOW Missile Launcher just in case Christine gets cute
Geesh take it easy on that flywheel! 😳😳
awwwh Christine don't be like that be good ❤
I miss the sound of a real car.
I miss the sound of real cranking!
Sweet Sound Of Plymouth Fury!
Back when cars were actually good
woah did I see well? Did she just run with no keys?
Yes, the ignition was turned on using the remote control.
Suddenly, the radio comes on.
🎶I'm gonna tell you how it's gonna be. (Bah-bah-bahbah) You gonna give-a your love to me...🎶
Legend says its still starting
Great sound!
Fun fact christine actually helped the plymouth v against the 57 chevy I personally think the plymouth was more bad ass to begin with chritine just helped it even more
I love both beyond belief. 50s cars in general just speak to me.
Keep cranking that starter you'll burn it up.
You forgot to say come on christine it's alright
Its a classic
Come on, Christine. Don’t worry. Everything’s the same. “I love you like I do….”
I love the way it sounds cranking over
I do too.
Yes DO IT again Christine.
I think nearly every carburetor based cars have cranking sound like that. Cuz its not only Christine that do it, others do. Hell, even motorbikes especially If its a low end underbones before late 2000's.
I really love that sound!
@colt hoover It is an amazing sound!
Cooles Auto, ich liebe diesen Film. habe Zuhause auch ne kleine Sammlung dazu :) lg aus Hamburg
**Watches "Christine 1983" on 2/25/2018**
Está bonito el carro
What dose she have in her 318 440 ?
Neither motor existed in 58, it likely has a 350 commando
Pump the gas pedal 3 times before trying to start. You have to pump the old engine manually because they are not electronic injections its all spring and lever operations
So pretty
Come On Come On Christine Come On Baby Please It’s Alright Everything Is The Same
Try advancing your timing just a little bit, we also ran a step hotter plugs in the old Carbureted cars to which I've worked/Driven everything from a AA pickup to modern cars :)
Nice car!
*Start and Stop* Switch ... 💃👯👍
The beat sounds like a drumline warm up! Mostly a paradiddle warm up!
Hey, it's better than a Saturn. 😅
"She`ll start"
Come on Christine.
Next time prime the car and then start it
How did you get your 1958 Plymouth Fury to run without the key in the ignition.
My 67 Dodge Dart did the same thing. In fact i didn’t need a key. I could insert a dime into the ignition and it would turn over and start. Lol!
Most hold cars allowed the keys to be removed while running. There was no key lock back then.
I’ll have one, one day
2 pumps before you turn the key !
At that time also power steering was there😦woow
Is it just me or does it sound like there's a piece of metal off in there. You'll notice immediately after the first crank you hear this loud metallic thud.
Love that cranking!
Is this imported? Because I see a Opel in the background
The license plate is German.
Are you now Mopar Chris? Hearing it start on Mopar Chris's video sounds like the exact same car
Love that cranking sound!
Does that have a cam or is that how they sound stock?
wow
SHE DOES NOT LIKE YOU, QUICK GET OUT WHILE YOU STILL CAN.
Na na na na na naaaaa know why I love you like i do
I would love to buy a 1958 plymouth fury super sport but I'm only 14 😭 btw I love vintage cars any Recommendations?
What the fuck are you doing man?
You have to talk to Her!
Germany? That's long way from home
Common let's go...
Steht der Wagen immer noch in Ulm?^^
Stall 20 shut it off before we choke to death .
Verkauft 🙉😭
Wieso ?
Wo hin ?
the face plate with the logo of my Plymouth groups and stained and anodised , how can I clean it by removing the stains ?
You can't they are BLOOD stains.
Did you say come on christine it's ok...everything is the same when she didnt start the 1st time?
In the movie speedometer goes up to 150 mph, i wonder how if it was different year or something like that?
Depends on the engine option.
How did you get the key to come out of the ignition when you started the car?
In Germany?
Never don't stay in front of Cristine and behinde it!!!
That starter won't stand a chance.
9 years later the same starter is still alive and well...
@@AudioMobil glad to hear
I love you like I do.....don't know why I love you, don't know why I care. I just want, your love to share.
She is german 😍
Pull the choke.
Clean pulleys with steel wool and install new belts.
