I thought the exact same!!! A lighting designer needs to know the entire action on the stage and highlight it. And before someone comes after me I have done regional, professional, and university level music direction. She sounded amazing!
@@Lawrence89MUSICman I've done university theater, too, and our director would have freaked out if this happens to his show. 😂 What a shame. That was a great note!
Student cast, student crew, student LD. They were probably also shaking their head in disappointment when they saw it wasn’t right. Much harder said than done to update in the moment in a fast paced show with as many cues as this one.
So I was looking through a bunch of legally blonde remix clips to see how they managed the quick change - heard the vocals on Vivian in this version and had to watch the whole thing!!
I totally agree. While she may not be as straightforward in her singing and character as most Viviennes her voice is really unique and pleasant in the high notes which I really enjoyed.
@@Niqhtmusic Honestly I think Elle would. The pink being the outfit seemed more important than what the outfit actually was LOL. Well, in the musical at least. In the book, she was way more obnoxious as a person and would probably legitimately get mad at the idea of being portrayed in pants. I'm so glad movie and musical Elle aren't like that 😂😬
I don’t think the pan suite is appropriate . Elle is suppose to go unique , in something this people don’t usually wear or consider appropriate for the meeting ,. Many women use suits ( and rock them) so she is making no difference than them.
@@blond009 I mean that usually all of the girls in the musical wear suits, not dresses, except for Elle, so it's a little weird not to for Elle, especially a RED suit, not even pink. Elle rarely wears red in most versions, usually pink, blue and purple.
I love it! I just have to ask, however, with an A.A. Enid, how did the "perm destruction in the shower" demonstration work? because for her a "perm" would actually be "relaxing her natural curls. Was Chutney A.A. as well? hope it's ok to ask about this plot point.
Great performances! However; 1. it’s painfully slow. Help train actors by performing the music at the proper tempo 2. Not a great outfit for Vivian 3. Your lighting is NOT hiding the set change, just robbing Vivian of her ONLY big moment in the show while the actress was NAILING IT.
I'm so sad they didn't give Vivienne the proper lighting while she's belting out that final note.

i dont think it was the lighting, there was a light. i think that the actor was in the wrong spot
I’ve been looking in the internet for a Vivienne that can sing because In all other productions they were bad but damnnnnnn she can sing
I know right! Just came back to watch it cause I send it to someone. Does anyone know her name? I want to see if I can find more of her.
@@KeinHipHopFan her name is Becca Suskauer! Her older sister Talia is currently playing Elphaba on the Wicked tour- they're a family of superstars!!
Check out Northwestern University's Legally Blonde! Vivienne is INSANE
@@ArianneDavidow Talia, damn, she’s one of my favorite Elphaba’s, you’re damn right they’re a family of superstars.

SAME! The vocals on Vivan and set in this was amazing (the other actors/actresses in this were also equally amazing)
5:42 Brooke and the officer's high kick is SO EXTRA I LOVE IT LMAOO
I like how the Elle rocks the suit! I really like it!
@Macy Jensen that’s true. I feel like elle would never.

I love the updated wardrobe on this one
@@macymoo5337 i think the wood flooring reflecting the lighting made it super red too
the creativity incorporating brooke windham into the Remix before her line 💗
Elle is perfectly cast. She's a mix of LBB and Reese. Killer voice too. Usually Elles excell In either acting or singing, but she does both so well
This Pilar really stands out to me as well- she's super charismatic, but also her voice in the other songs is PHENOMENAL
Oml I love how at 5:23 an officer arrests Brooke to transition into the next scene😂
And they did the kick too 😂
Vivian's high note YASSSS
This looks very professional! Congratulations to all the team and cast!
Brooke’s high kick >>>
Ok so Elle was great, Vivian ate that, and Paulette BODIED THAT
The hug was super cute! 3:20
This is AMAZINGGG OMG
That high kick tho
This is just amazing!!!
Small thing, in the very version I’ve seen, including the film, Elle wears a pink dress but this actress I perfect for the suit
I don’t think the pan suite is appropriate . Elle is suppose to go unique , in something this people don’t usually wear or consider appropriate for the meeting ,. Many women use suits ( and rock them) so she is making no difference than them.
They did it the other way round with everyone else in dresses 😡
@@carleymitchell9331true but in court it’s very normal to see women and men in suits

The lighting is outrageous...ly bad. Wow. Some really great vocals.
wonder how they did the perm scene since this enid already has curly hair

The lighting could be much better but everyone is pretty good.
who plays kyle in this production?

She had red on not pink!
I was also thinking why vivienne and Enid was wearing a nice dress and not black and white
Pink is Elle's signature color. It deosn't make sense to me that the suit is red.
@@mintsden6620 The suit looks red due to the lighting and probably the reflection on the floor
The singing in this is fricking perfect. but Vivienne's acting choices were not my favorite. Overall tho spectacular performance
I love this production but is the person in the white pants, pink top, jacket and ascot a man or woman?
a man, who works in the salon as a hair stylist, or colorist.
not lighting the stage for the entirety of the last half ruined the whole thing for me
:D
the vocals are good but the acting is atrocious
