    Explore Kapenguria Museum - The Kapenguria Six on the Struggle for Independence on My Zuru Diary: The Kapenguria Museum is a museum located in Kapenguria, Kenya. The museum is located inside the prison where prominent leaders of the Kenyan independence movement were held and put on trial in 1952/3.
    Located in Kapenguria town in West Pokot county, Kapenguria museum was opened in 1993. This is where the founding fathers of the Kenyan Nation - Mzee Jomo Kenyatta, Kungu Karumba, Mr. Fred Kubai, Mr. Paul Ngei, Bildad Kaggia and the Hon. Ramogi Achieng Oneko were held. All of them have passed on although their legacy will always remain alive.
