Personally, Taeyeon has better skills, but her voice is more lackluster. There's no real special color to her voice that makes me go "Wow". Eunji's huskiness and the rawness makes me open my ears a little more to hear how good it is.
Singing skills are not subjective though? You can't have a personal preference. Proper vocal techniques exist. On the other hand, a singer's voice color and singing style is very subjective.

She’s probably one of the top vocalist among the idols. I don’t care if y’all think Hyorin, Solji is better. Eunji hits notes so peacefully it’s so hard to find someone that sings like she does. Also she keeps her Korean within herself! I love that because other “better” singers kinda sing with that American style. Euji’s style just makes her so authentic. Also singing is not only about how high you can hit a note.

So much feelings overflown. Eunji is amazing when it comes to expressing feelings through her voice.
Her effortless singing and great steady pitch control and emotional conveyance without needless coloring is what I believe makes her singing style unique. It separates her from the many flock of good singers that tends to only mimick the emotions. There may be better singers out there but Eunji,Solji, Ailee and Wong San emerge themselves in the songs.

And the way he was teasing her, he probably wouldn't do that if he thought it wasn't her. Because although he is really nice and friendly, everyone was assuming that she was this talent senior in the industry, so he would probably be more respectful to his sunbae (not to say he was disrespectful by any means). Why I love eunji when She's singing bcoz she doesnt show to the public like " Hey, im a good singer." but she always enjoy every song and then her emotions flowed in line with the songs. Eunji eonni jjang!!! And, I cant say that she is the best singer in Korea but everyone acknowledge that she is one of the best singer in Korea. So we dont have to compare her with another singer.
