I own one too, it comes with Bridgestone and those tires are horrible. Replace them with Michelin and makes a lot of difference even with the pot holes. But bad news is these cars have a big issue with the engine. Around 20,000 miles you will have check engine light coming on and it will be the cylinder heads.

Great video ! I love the car especially at night. I do agree it is somewhat loud but overall it’s a nice car to have . The gears were something new to me. Also I didn’t have to pay extra for the sunroof and also has heated seats . I think the only thing I paid for was the illuminating star on front grill was about $800. The display are a huge plus for me .

I’m so glad i saw this-i’ve had my GLB since Jan after trading in my BELOVED GLK. I seriously thought something was wrong with it because of how jerky and jumpy it can get when in lower gears, and was considering trading it in. I still don’t love that it does that, but at least i know it’s just the type of engine and it’s not a lemon! It can be alarming at times though if you’re not used to it-from a stop, it can feel like the car jumps forward a bit. It’s no GLK, but it’s a very good substitute.

New transmissions really are clunky. I have a 2019 C300 and you feel those gear changes. I had it checked out by a foreman because it honestly didn't feel like it was designed to be this way. Turns out it's designed to give drivers the "sport" feeling. Low speed gear changes are awful. I'm very glad you pointed this out as most people don't.

  • @jasonedwards243
    @jasonedwards243 3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

Great review. I agree with the clunky gearbox down shifts, even if you desire the prestige badge it is something hard to ignore. The extras are very expensive to spec. The 'Hey Mercedes' system is inconsistent and annoying which you end up turning the system off. If Mercedes could update these features it would be a no brainer. Other vehicles such as the Kia Sorento and forthcoming Gv80 could be better choices for many.

  • @garyjohnson8120

This has ALWAYS been the case with both Mercedes and BMW. They use those low beginning prices to attract buyers who get onto the lot and find there are no such vehicles in existence at the dealership at those prices. Let's also not forget the cost of maintaining German vehicles...the cost of service and maintenance is double any Asian market luxury brand. And, the cost of replacement parts? Outrageous! Not to mention the time it takes to receive them if they have to be ordered! Still...we buy them. I know I did. :-)

I bought a 2021 GLB, had it for over a half a year now, and planning to do a 5 dislike video as well. Here's my dislikes: 1) Android Auto/Carplay takes up only 7" of the 10" display; 2) The backseat vents aren't warm during the winter unless front vents are all closed off; 3) Radio doesn't stay at the preset setting, defaults to FM every time; 4) Hard to access 3rd row, hard to fit rear-facing child seat in 2nd row; 5) fake exhaust tips. There are lots of things I do like about the car though.

Most of the luxury car manufacturers don’t seem to realize those sun visors are useless, they are not deep enough to shield your eyes from the sun. The sound system could be better, like the Bose or Bang & Oloffson(the AudiQ5has it), the mbtex seats I don’t mind. , I’ve had leather seats and they eventually wear out. The noise is not too bad, you don’t want the noise to be completely blocked out and the skylight is no big deal for me. I’ve had 4 luxury cars with skylights that I hardly used, it allowed not only the sun but the wind noise into the car and decided no more. Those lights are just too much for my liking and think they could be distracting. The ML500 was cheaper than the Glb250 today, I built mine and put the things I like such as the night package and I enjoy driving it. I think next time I’ll go for the Glc300.

I have a 2020 GLB250 and so far The windshield has cracked 5 times in less than 2 years. I believe the cause is attributed to a flaw in the upright design of the front windshield. It’s absolutely ridiculous. It’s small, and petty. But this is not a small and petty price lol. No reason Mercedes should cheap out on that. Very annoying.

Too much hard plastic for this model when decent equipped at $52-56k. Its assembled in Mexico. Looks of the design is nice but that’s it. The hard plastic makes the interior echo.

If all the features you've mentioned would comes standard at the starting price of 38k. Who's gonna want to pay 30k for a Toyota Rav4?

    • @PrimeAutotainment

I’m not expecting everything to be standard...but the pricing structure of some of it is excessive.

@@PrimeAutotainment I get it, it's a luxury brand, without those features, there's nothing luxury about it.
It's just a selling tactic, lure people in with the low price.

This car is cheap and nasty. Had it for 5 days and it rattled and had no radar cruise control. The display reflects bad in sunlight. The menu is laggy and the worst part is the plastic trim on the doors fades to a grey colour. The car looks cheap after just a few days. It’s a
Toy more than a serious car.

Not comparing…just stating the fact that a base model Corolla gives you said features standard, when you have to pay thousands extra for them on the GLB. Did I mention that’s on a BASE model Corolla for half the price?
