      It's utterly pathetic. That shitshow of a Darling buds of may remake with Bradley 'i'm in everything' Walsh, did the same thing. Random black guy in a 50's country village who everyone accepts without question. They have had a black Anne Boleyn, Maid Marion, Achilles and numerous others now. Yet, Scarlett Johansson had to apologise for 'culturally appropriating ' a role when she was cast in ghost in the shell. White history and culture is being trampled over, and it makes my blood fucking boil. Just wait for Black Bond...

    I loved seeing black teachers in Belfast, Chinese students, Indian shop owners ---such an accurate portrayal of history Ken. And I've no doubt that didn't make Eamonn squirm in his seat one bit. Belfast wasn't 100% White. It was London 2022!!

    • @jtaylor9562
      @jtaylor9562 3 ปีที่แล้ว +15

      And just so the fucking sellout could get his precious film made. It's a bit like you being desperate to make a jam sponge cake, but the person giving you the ingredients only gives you honey. Yet you are so desperate to make it you just go with it. It just goes to show artistic integrity, and authenticity are not the main aim of these celeb arseholes. It's all about money and accolades. Which this will surely get. As it won't be the acting, writing and cinematography that are being judged during awards season, but the Diversity tick boxes, as fantastical as they are, that will get this shower of shit it's precious statuettes. Utterly, utterly shameful. Everyone, especially the people of Belfast should boycott this abomination.

    Branagh claimed the film was an accurate account of the times in Belfast in he lived as a small boy. Total nonsense!! Belfast was 100% white at the time. Well I will definitely go to see this Movie after those reviews, the whole Ethnic thing is a bit worrying only in the sense that those of us who were there know better, it was not that there were no Indians or Africans in N.I. at the time but they were very few on the ground and certainly not in the Police or running corner shops. Twenty years later this was less unusual due to ex soldiers who when they left the Army came back to N.I.
