I was recently promoted to supervisor at a major international medical device company. When I hired some new team members, never once did I ever feel any need to ask any of the interview candidates about their education, nor did I care where or even if they went to school. If they could demonstrate the necessary knowledge by properly answering questions, that was good enough for me.
I’m glad you do it this way because where their education is from shouldn’t matter is their intelligence and work matter ! I’ve met plenty of people whom are way smarter and get the job done than people with actual degrees
Most interviews I've had do not ask about education. That's mainly because if the organization has a minimum hiring standard regarding high school diploma/GED or a bachelor's degree or some combination of work experience and education, usually HR sorts that all out first. As long as an applicant meets the minimum hiring requirements and demonstrates the skills, ability, and willingness to do the work, that's all that should matter.
Story one: a husband who supports his wife!! Yesss!!! I understand trying to help family but there is a cut off point. This sister reached that limit. The story of Sarah and Lisa is good. I enjoyed it. The author may want to learn what a part time job is, though. “Working from daylight to dark “ is most definitely not part time; if anything, it’s overtime.
Sarah was Lisa's manager. The first time she spoke to me, i'd have gone straight to the higher ups. My response would have just been "fine. Lisa, you're fired for insubordination. It's never a good idea to call your boss names, related or not. And what is with this ego? You just got there and act like you should be running the joint. Also, good on Tom for telling his wife to cut her loose to wake her up. She's not asking you to walk around and bow and scrape to everyone, just show some common respect to your coworkers. BTW, if you're so elite, how come you're only making $1500/month? How old is this story? 2nd story - Why the hell did you not block that evil, sick woman immediately?
I'd have been fired ages ago of I didn't do my job at work, disrespected management and decided to leave early/come in late. Especially in the probation period. Lisa should have been fired after the 3rd time she didn't follow the rules.
The company I worked for believed in nepotism. The company experience was that work ethic tended to run in families. Ummmm if Lisa is working from very early to late at night, it is a full time job, a 12 hour shift, unless the narrator stated she works 4 hours then go back and work another 4 in the evening 👩🔧🤷♀️

Sarah should just fired Lisa from the beginning because she was probably asking to be fired with her rotten attitude and laziness. And the second story Rachel didn’t nothing back when she told Tricia the evil woman 👩 what’s on her mind.
$1500 a month works out to $9.75 /hr. Not minimum wage, to be sure, but a bit low for an office worker. Also, either Sarah was bypassing a couple layers of bureaucracy, or that company has an odd hierarchy if a VP is the direct supervisor of an entry level worker
I suppose Sarah got complaints from the normal hierarchy and acted as she had to do to any worker when complaints reach her. In other words...that bureaucracy layer called her in as next leverl.

Both sides can get out of the relationship with as little issue as possible. Lenience with mistakes on policy should be given as people are learning, but behavior is not one of those things.
Why do all the bad guys in these stories end up in FACTORY jobs? I've worked in a factory for over 20 years, own my own home and car, and have a sizeable savings account. Factory work is nothing to look down on. Please don't look down on it.
That comes out to about $9.75 an hour, assuming a 7 hour workday. In some states that would barely cover sharing a small apartment with another person.
This is what happens when you have 2 big of a head and you think you are unreplaceable well. Unfortunately in every job everyone is replaceable it just depends on how much work they want to do to replace you
Simple question: is Trisha senile?? She surely sounds like she’s suffering from some sort of dementia, to not acknowledge a divorce that was agreed-upon by her son, and his ex-wife. And the dementia is strong because she sounds just like Lady Catherine from Jane Austen’s Pride and Prejudice.
If Lisa only has a few part time jobs under her belt, she should make a functional resume or a combined resume where she fills in all the blank spaces with her skills. There's a lot of students from the ages of 18-35 that don't have much job experience outside of part time work, especially if they've gone to school for multiple levels of education. For example, a college diploma, masters degree, advanced/bachelor degree, or a PhD. The best resume to accomadate your lack of job experience is a functional or combined resume. That way your employer sees your skills first and frontmost. That said, Lisa sounds like she's got an attitude and that will go against her. Not her lack of job experience since most people can only get part time work, even with a college/university diploma/degree.
In the beginning I thought Lisa was just fresh out of university. But being so arrogant without any work experience. I would have fired after the first week.
Story 1: Lisa was lucky OP was even willing to give her this many chances but she pushed everyone to their limits so she has no one left.(Well except her parents if she was able to hurry up) The fact she didn't even have the work & shit to back up her arrogance, she's all smug due to graduating collage but she has no work history while her SIL that didn't go to collage worked hard & has the work history to prove her efforts. Story 2: The thumbnail for going to the second story(in video) feels misleading as it makes it look like the MIL is pissed at OP for cheating before OP forces her to listen & learn her son is the actual cheater. In the story OP just straight up tells her at the start Luke is a cheater & the mom is fine with it.(Though has to have it spelled out when OP uses Luke's sister as a metaphor for how the MIL should be upset over the cheating) While Luke deserves his punishment I'm glad he at least had the decency to apologize for his & his family's actions while compensating OP. Unfortunately that's the only thing I can applaud him for as it's made clear this isn't the first time he's been a hoe with people or has likely been terrible to others. I feel bad for Luke's dad as his family is to greedy/stingy to get him to the care facility he needs. I hope the mistress got her karma punishment asides from Luke's family chasing her out & the possibility of being in trouble at work. I also hope OP one day can find someone that she can trust & will by loyal with a family that cares about her, even if the family isn't good I hope they learn to care or the new boyfriend/husband stands up for OP & cuts them off if needed so OP knows she won't be living a nightmare again. I hope she has the family she wants one day.
Second...Luke lost his job. Dad cannot work with dementia. MIL will also not have any work. Maybe they did not have the savings for hiring care. (They tell these stories are also translated and I do know there are countries with no care at all unless you pay a fortune). Still bad for luke's father...I hope MIL is doing what she can but I know it is near to impossible for one person to take care 7*24 365 days a year.
I wonder if Lisa even earned her degree... she sounds like the type to barely skate by and do nothing in group projects... wouldn't surprise me if she wasn't above cheating/plagiarising either...
Wonder if Tricia actually believes that nonsense that she's spewing. Perhaps if it was done to her, she would change her tune. Then again, perhaps not.

@@susanhansen1290 trial period is when everyone should be on their best behavior so if there's a problem cut that shit out as soon as possible. Both sides can get out of the relationship with as little issue as possible. Lenience with mistakes on policy should be given as people are learning, but behavior is not one of those things.
At least Luke wasn't a complete jerk😊
Why do all the bad guys in these stories end up in FACTORY jobs? I've worked in a factory for over 20 years, own my own home and car, and have a sizeable savings account. Factory work is nothing to look down on. Please don't look down on it.
$1500 a month is chicken feed. (For someone who really works.)
As a starting salary for someone with almost no experience, its not too bad. it would increase after probationary or trial period.
You know its one of these stories if, people get cut off, suing for nonsense and getting rewarded and entitled parents.
Not a full time worker, a full time slacker. A complete waste of office space.
Trica seems to have forgotten that slavery has been abolished.
She worked part time from early in the morning to late at night
Anyone see anything wrong with this statement?
Yes I do, so strange isn't it?😅😅😅😅😅
I suppose it depends on how many days she actually worked. Two days working early till late could still be thought of as part time.
@chickenman297 I viewed it as multiple part-time jobs.
Unless it's a split shift, which they don't do in factories, sounds like slavery.
Split shift or more than 1part time job. 30 hrs a week is still part time.
Dont you just love these "rules for thee but not for me" types?
"She works very early in the morning until late at night"
How is that part time?
How is she working part time but she’s working from early in the morning until late at night? Is that 1 day a week? 😂
2nd story... I think Tricia is right in so far as that in-laws-relationships do not end with a divorce.
No-one goes tsk tsk tsk often enough these days.
I didn't imagine those family could exist 😅
Tricia and her family turned Rachel into Cinderella
In the beginning I thought Lisa was just fresh out of university. But being so arrogant without any work experience. I would have fired after the first week.
The McDonald family is like a drive trough get your stuff and get out lol
You know what makes this believable? Using exclamation marks as full stops.
$1500? Wish I got paid that hourly.
I wonder if Lisa even earned her degree... she sounds like the type to barely skate by and do nothing in group projects... wouldn't surprise me if she wasn't above cheating/plagiarising either...
very early in the morning to late at night... What exactly is the definition of part time in these stories?
She musta graduated bottom of the class !!
Wonder if Tricia actually believes that nonsense that she's spewing. Perhaps if it was done to her, she would change her tune. Then again, perhaps not.
Take personal items with you when you leave.
Story 1: I guess education could only get you so far.
Story 2: ....That poor baby....
