At 1:05 on the video you can see that there is MUD in the muzzle break! I sure hope that crew does NOT FIRE that 88! LOL The tank would explode! But really, great video! I have always been into Tanks as a little kid and would like to get into the RC tank hobby. It looks like Heng Long is coming a long way from the first tanks they shipped out. Great job modifying the tank to take on mud and water...after all this is a TANK! Look forward to picking up one,
Well keep in mind that the shell is moving at near supersonic speed, and theres alot of hot gas too. Since they are going at such a high velocity, when the mud blocks the barrel, a huge amount of pressure builds up. There is somemuch pressure that the gun basically explodes to let out the pressure.

I tested my Mato's metal chassis, without any action I can drive my tank to the depth of the road wheel. however, water get in through suspension arm but very hard to get out afterward unless you make a few holes below. Further, it would be a nightmare to clean up the tank (at least my tank with metal chassis) if you go mudding
It’s an rc tank, mind you. The more weight you add, the slower you’ll go, as well as have increased draw on the batteries (more weight=the more the motors have to draw from the batteries=the decrease in total driving time)
Mine is 6kg with combination of metal lower and plastic upper. currently I still run it with HL's stock electrics but will change to CS TK-16 and AT-9 transmitter soon when they arrive

First mistake the commanders hatch is on the right site of the turret but in reallife its on the left of the turret. Same withe the drivers slot and with the slot of the gunner, the loader and the slot of the Mg-gunner. But in it self the tank is very good. Question to the owner, did you make the tank yourself or did you buy it?

Motors dont need waterproofing. You run them in water to break them in. Electronics do need WPing, mainly motherboard or esc are esp sensitive
What depth limit can the standard Taigen and Heng long tigers do without damage
The standard tank isn't Waterproof, mine has a waterproof compartment for the electronics.
