I have watched until 28 minutes so far and I just had to comment , I feel so sorry for you both , totally unecessary over some towels that “ magically went missing “ , did not like the fact he had recordings on his phone 🙈 will continue to watch after work , it’s awful how something like that can kind of ruin a holiday 😢
Yeah Vicki just watch it at your own pace. Definitely a attempted scam. We actually offered them to search our travel cases but they weren't bothered about that. The guy on reception with his pathetic attempt to nail us with his pathetic phone footage he said was evidence that we had took the towels was just embarrassing for him and the hotel but we won't spoil the movie for you and tell you how it ends 😉 😜 but it's an experience we won't forget in a hurry nor a one we wanted to turn out the way it did , what got us was the footage he had didn’t realy show anything altho it took all week to present to us ,, and literally the final hour as we were checking out ,, anyway il let u see the rest of the vlog when u can and you will see for yourself what happens
Pete, you and Chelle are the most honest people I have followed on blogs. Not a nice thing to be accused of taking the towels. You have done the right thing to make people aware and be alert to scams. So glad you refused to pay and stood your ground. After you had had a great time there this must leave a bitter taste. If we had taken them Off the premises and left them at the beach fair enough, but they went missing while we were in the hotel , may it be the patio or the room , originally I thought did we leave them on the sunbed ,but he said he had us on camera ,,, ok but that was us heading back to our room which was on the pool side

Hello, love the channel. Stayed in Caleta de Fuste Calisto bungalos in January (FV), and Bella Vista Hotel in Hurghada in December. Egypt was very dodgy!!! The staff in the hotel were good, but it was advertised as 4* but was 2.5* Outside the hotel was very rough and very polluted due to the main Sherriton road being like the M25, traffic in 3 lanes both directions. The people i delt with outside the hotel mainly want to scam you or pickpocket you. Wasn't prepaired for all the poverty but it was very cheap. Also awesome scuba diving.
We didn't realy have any issue out side the hotel but we're not as nieve as we used to be , do a bit homework and knowledge urself a bit and keep ur wits about u is the key
Hi pete & Chelle Good vidio and informative. Think i would have been checking no other stuff gone from youre room. Maybe better to sort it out before the check out day as well and then you could have looked at some footage from corridor to see whos snooping about.
We tried to get it sorted for 4 days , we kept asking for the footage and they waited till the time we checked out to all of a sudden produce a bit footage of us at the pool but wouldn't produce any other ,,, We have our views on what had happened and funny how the lady even said maybe the house keeper picked them up
@mickotoole333 definitely a scam mick ran by the 2 management staff in the main thumbnail and the young house keeping lad .they weren't investigating anything like CCTV footage from the cameras outside our room from either side. Even on checkout day they still kept deflecting from the conversation but attempts to charge us for theft based upon pathetic footage was laughable. definitely an internal scam running for sure. Watched from beginning & could see the scam as soon as you said the young lad asked for where your towels were The treatment you got was just awful to say the least but you were both great under the circumstances & for giving the warning to other tourists who may book there in the future Well done for highlighting this scam 👍👍xx

same thing happen when we went to crete they put you in a room above the bar so you would pay more to move to another room that was not so noisy but we did not move and the manager said is you room ok we said yes its fine its all a scam so watch out people

The young girl was there from the start ,, she actually was siding with the hotel management at first ,, until she realised we were not backing down and had our own camera footage, then she was all on our side ,,, bless her tho it was her first day in the job

Probably not a common thing to happen but hey its the stuff you don't read about in glossy travel brochures. mosquitoes we're horrendous and the WiFi was rubbish but the rest of the trip was enjoyable. The majority of the staff were amazing right thru but looking back , the little house keeper lad was a bit shifty from the start and same as the man in reception The other reception man was ok but he wasn't there when we checked out ,, What we found strange we were asking for the footage showing what we were accused of they kept bypassing and saying we need to pay but soon as I got my phone out and showed them my photos and filming with the time on they all of a sudden changed their attitude

That housekeeper definitely involved by asking you about them before you even reported them missing.

Leave them a review on trip adviser,shocking towels will be cheap enough out there .i agree the young lad asking where your towels were seemed dodgy

Strange that he asked for the towels, usually you leave them in the room. Were they recording you around the hotel?

At 55.42 they had enough and wanted to cover their transparentness , fair play to the young girl who they sent in to calm things down
