In the first half, it was really interesting to see how things evolved and how far back the first films go. The only surprise was that Snow White didn't appear as the first full length animated feature, and later, no Toy Story as the first fully computer animated feature. Post-1980, I can understand it gets more difficult to spot evolution, especially with so many movies. I felt that bit fell a bit too far into personal tastes, and we probably didn't need four Star Wars movies (though at least you didn't include the sequel trilogy at all). It probably doesn't help that the 2010s is the main period I watched films and I don't really relate to any of the ones selected.
I didn't include any animated films on purpose (Fantasia is an exception since it mixes animation and live action). I was thinking of doing another video just for animation but I don't know if I have the time or the energy... The whole thing takes a ridiculously long time to make. You're right, the second part was harder than the first and there are a few things I would change if I could. The way I went about it is look up the most influential films of each year and then pick one. Some years there's nothing (looking at you 2020), others there are so many classics it was very difficult to decide. I always tried and pick the one I felt showed more of an evolution in film technique (that's why SW is there four times, nothing compares in the late 70s, early 80s in that regard). And if no movie did bring anything new, I would choose the one I felt people remember most. Obviously some choices are arguable, and there's definitely a bias, but regardless almost all the films are classics (save a handful of poor years). Hope this explains it. Thank you for watching and commenting. 😊

What do you mean a second part? 😂
There is no second part because it showed everything it needed to show.
@@Williamwestp24I think he means another video to show another movie for each year. As good as this video is, there are a few great ones missing.
