hi, I travel on a cb125f 2022, which may not be as good as a cg, but I also consider it a good machine for slow, comfortable, low-cost and fun travel on any surface. Big machines have somehow lost their magic for me. In the future, I would also like to go on a really long route like you are planning, across half the world, I will follow you, I can also recommend the travelmoto channel, a crazy Greek who also traveled from Greece to Spain on a cb125f. I wish you many happy kilometers.
Thanks for the well wishes! The CB125F is a great bike for sure though and a lovely machine for some adventures. Hope you get to go on some longer trips soon
I just bought a CB 125 tuff I'm going to be using it to ride around Kenya, from the coast to Western Kenya. Going to be a fun adventure going to be recording everything
Great stuff! Just got one of these and I was tatered riding it back from Halifax to Manchester I cant imagine riding round the world! Will definitely be watching, best of luck! 👍😎
I ride a 1996 CG every day and I love it! However, I have a larger engine next to it (Bmw K75RT). Just a little advice. you should raise your front mudguard because with off-road tires, the earth will get stuck in it. Kiss from France ✌️
I'm just watching your video now! Thanks for the advice, I'll consider modifying it. So far off road it hasn't been an issue even in some very soft mud I hope you have many more km and adventures on your CG 😎✌️
I love small bikes, especially Hondas. I have a Harley Springer in the US and a Honda XR150L here in the Philippines. As much as I love my Springer, riding the XR 150 here is 10x more fun than riding the HD in the US. I saw one of your other episodes further along and I'm glad I found the first episode.. definitely subbed!
@telcobilly thanks for the support! Those XR150s look awesome, truthfully some better off road credentials would really help for our trip but we are committed now hah
I used to commute on a 125cc Van Van, but had other bigger bikes for fun. But l rode that VV from Leeds to Malaga! I sold it & bitterly regret it, l'm riding around on a Yamaha 950 Midnight Star & pining for a smaller bike.....wheren the fun is.
Hi, really good choice , i get one too, this bike engine was made for law maintnance need, Japan made it for Asian workers who need bike without maintnance (we know we should do maintnance to keep this bike for a long life) i will enjo to see confirmation of his fiability... this engine is an air cool system then it need to take breaks along the trip . wish you good trip to you and your wife guys and your CGs❤👍🏍
Cheers Buddy . I live in Spain to the East of Granada . It’s not on your planned itinerary but if you alter your route and you need an overnight stop let me know ??
Looks great cant wait to follow this adventure... Not sure how familiar you are with kenda k270 and ill probably get shot for this but i found tyre wear on the rear extremely heavy 😬
Thanks for the joining the journey! First time using them so we shall see, they may end up being changed along the way but we have to start with something eh?
Looking forward to the great adventures on the mighty Honda CG! I got my license on one many years ago when I still lived in Europe. Sadly, there aren't any CGs in the US but I am trying to import one. I have a cheap chinese CG clone but it's a far cry from the real thing unfortunately. Your bikes have round headlights, were these made by Honda Brazil?
Thanks Ben! A clone is a nice idea but the real deal is always better. Good luck getting one! Yeah these were still manufactured by Honda in Brazil, its just the last version before they replaced the CG with the CBF125. Our model is the ES (meaning electric start) that ran from 2004-2008
i'm in london, on your way through if you want the toilet or a coffee!! we make things, so if you need anything custom for the journey give me a nudge!
Cheers! First travel video is nearly complete and will be uploaded this week A trip to Pakistan would be great, hope you get to realise the dream some day
Look forward to meeting you both when you get to Cape Town. First beer is on me 💪👍🇿🇦😁. And yes, you have the perfect bike for the job. Don’t listen to the big ADV boys, most haven’t been where you’re going anyway 😁
Thanks Lekka! Sounds like a plan, free beer always tastes the best 😁 I've got thick skin don't worry! Those big adv folk have all bought into marketing hype 😉
Is a CG125 going to be good enough for this type of adventure?
one of the most bullet proof bikes ever made ever, and one of the most reproduced in one guise or another, literal millions of this honda or derivatives of...
@griptopia it's one of the reasons I have confidence in it. They still produce them new in Pakistan I'm led to believe
@@ILikeMotorbikesI wish they still made the Honda H 100 & GP100 & the Yamaha rsx better times for sure
@@officialmysteriousrider130 some cool small bikes for sure
@notme1345 just goes to show how resilient they are! Sorry to hear it got burnt out though, what a shame!

@tiagodias5466 absolutely a solid little machine, I didn't realise they sold so well but I knew they were produced there so it makes sense

I just bought a CB 125 tuff
I'm going to be using it to ride around Kenya, from the coast to Western Kenya.
Going to be a fun adventure going to be recording everything
That sounds awesome! We may end up going to Kenya after we hit South Africa so be good to get some tips and info from your video for sure

She's a good egg, she doesnt mind a bit of dirt under her nails! I was proud of her efforts 👌 Glad you enjoyed the video
Loved the chain removal 😂 that’s a first for me ❤
Much easier than messing around with splitting tools!
@@ILikeMotorbikes yeah Just realised that some of these chains have no split links. 👍good idea learn something every day

Yes yes yes, really looking forward to watching this series 😁🤙
Cheers man! Glad you're excited! I can't wait to set off and get going 😁
I always dribble a bit when using an angle grinder, it's normal. What a refreshing channel, subbed...
haha! Lauren will feel better knowing that - thanks for following along
The organization of the tools in that tool box is making me twitch! I couldn’t deal with that 😉
Not my tool box... but I somewhat agree haha!
Wishing you a speedy recovery.
Thanks! I'm getting there day by day
Great video mate, looking forward to the next installment .
Thanks Tom! Hopefully won't keep you waiting too long
Great vid. Can’t wait for this!

Sorry I missed this message before. 3.00 front and 3.50 rear (both 18 inch) and they're Kenda K270. We got ours from M&P direct
I also have this bike 😂❤

Can't ride it all at once. You have to start somewhere
You built an Africa Single? 😀
Haha I guess I did! 😁
