What am awesome, exciting episode! Firstly, I'm glad you liked the name suggestions. When you me tinned Strider from lotr and then said you were going to the volcano, my first thought was "HES TAKING THE RAPTORS TO ISENGARDE!" (I'll see myself out) I have to agree with you too, about the ambiance in Ark. Sometimes it's nice to just fly around and enjoy the scenery in the fog or at night. Or walking out of your base first thing in the morning ing to an awesome sunrise. And lasrly...what are the ODDS? The location you chose for your base was where I made MY base in my cluster playthrough with my brother. Same cliff overlooking the river and redwoods. It's an awesome spot for a base! Excited to see you build there.
A few things about that building location I can offer as advice. You mentioned metal runs being a bit farther. There's a mountain in the redwoods with more metal than you can carry. That's your best bet. It's not far with an argy, there's tons there, and with the exception of a couple small predators there's really not that much to worry about. WAY faster than other common metal spawn locations. Secondly, you should be pretty safe from most predators on that cliff. The occasional harassment from a raptor or theri but mostly you should be completely fine. A few of the plant seeds that grow into turrets set to kill wild dinos in a certain radius should keep you perfectly safe. O ly thing to keep in mind is turn them off if you see a titanosaur wander too close. You do not want that thing aggro'd on your base. But for everything else those plants should do great. That spot is a dream!
Forgot to mention. When you go to tame a bee to get honey production started, sometimes there's beehives hanging on the backside of the cliff. If you follow the ramp down like (not on swamp side, the other side) to the right there will be a little alcove with a tree. Occasionally beehives spawn there. WAY easier than trying to tsme those things in the redwoods. Plus tons of beaverdams spawn around the little island in the river off to the left so cementing paste is always right there. Great spot choice!

Should be a really good one. Will for sure be going back to 30ish minute episodes now, just had so much to do in the last two that I had to make them longer to fit everything.
Hey man just found your channel and i love it! quick question, i have a pretty decent pc, and i cant seem to figure out a good combination of graphic settings that look good but dont drop my frames to like 30, what settings are you running? any help is much appreciated, keep up the good work !

I like it, I've been looking for a decent level to possibly start a line. Kind of wondering how good a pack of them would be, evidently their bleed attack stacks.

I run a 2080ti and I get pretty decent frames at 2160x1440p with everything set to high and ground clutter density at about half. Hope this helps!
