There is no point of warnings if you don’t enforce them
it hit batter after them isn’t an automatic ejection, umpires have to determine whether or not it was intentional

@@toadwiiremotewithwiimotion6247this is obviously the wrong call. Essentially you lose the benefit of the doubt after warnings. The vast majority of HBPs after a warning should be an ejection. If a pitcher who has been lights out hits a batter with a slider off of the top of his foot in a late inning, then yes the umpire has the right to say it’s clearly an accident even if warnings were already given. In this case it is a terrible call to not eject the pitcher for hitting Profar.

He was once a top prospect, and was considered a complete bust, but this year he's putting up MVP numbers all of a sudden. Seems strange that he's finally figured things out. (However, it's a long season; we'll see where he stacks up in September.)

Even the San Diego announcers said that if the umpires feel it was intentional then it’s an ejection. And the SD announcers didn’t feel like it was intentional.
I was at the game, the confrontation was long and confusing for everyone in the stands. Not a 45 sec delay edited here. Felt like 5+ mins with the bullpens coming in too. After all that, Padres see their manager get ejected with no context was confusing.

Last night, during the padres comeback, they intentionally walked Arraez to load the bases to get to Profar, which he said in an interview he felt disrespected…they threw at his head, he fell to the ground, which Nationals broadcast poked fun at said he was over reacting, they threw inside again at him….he then hits the walk off game winning 2 run double…he runs over and yells at their dug out during his celebration…Ruiz, Winker, and Vargas come out of the dugout to take exception to the celebration. Winker would also go on to get into it with a fan in the stands, a 60 year old man, they shared fighting worlds, there is video of that. The nats broadcast was very upset with the padres during all of this.
All of that is what has lead to that moment.
