I love (playing as) Mordor ! And the Nazgul make it SO much better for low tier morale. I liked to field armies primarily made up of Maulers for cost effective AP damage. Turning on Isengard or Dol Guldur can be handy as you share same culture. Owning either of their capitols is very nice too. Sucks that Khand betrayed you. Having to keep that right flank secure is a pain !
Double the upkeep for the olog-hai might be a bit much, but I think around 700 is still justifiable. Olog-hai are so hard to take down by regular arrow fire. They'll die to crossbows for sure, but regular archers need to fire too many volleys to bring them down. Imo there is a night and day difference between them and regular trolls in that regard.
Your method of moving the bugged general reminds me of the rock hopping on Tremors. The image was so strong it prevented me from saying anything more intelligent or on the mark, so duh.
It is just me or does the Ai get way cooler General Portraits. Especially Gondor and DA. I just get some dude who looks like he’s woke up from an all day bender.
I suggest running a diplomat down south to Harad as fast as possible so that if Harad loses all their settlements you can still keep them alive by trading one of them around. Also I really implore you to attack Khand, and nearly kill them before getting that alliance back, of course only when they are at one settlement to make sure you can get the lancers and marauders back in case Harad dies because with only Rhun units you'll never actually have cavalry again. I suggest you push to Crasat before Gondor pulls out any more forces, because right now if Gondor gets any mainline or elite troops to Minas Tirith it actually might fall .
I'd still have the Loke Innas Rim and temple knights as cav and I'm not sure if I lose the troops if the faction gets destroyed. Someone told me I don't but I am leaning towards that I will lose them. Definitely will be pushing Gondor, got to take out their production.
@@epmtotalwar You won't lose the troops, but you won't have enough cavalry for your armies. Gonor can be taken care of later, but the damage sustained from the death of Harad is permanent. Plus Gondorian land would be more useful.
@@peterhe6699 Harad is gone. There's no way Mordor can get troops down there in time. Recruit all the Harad troops Mordor can, is the only thing that can be done right now. There are 8 assorted stacks of Dol Amroth making their way to OstIthil. All those sieges defended as Lothlorien will stand @epmtotalwar in good stead. Harad can be brought back later. The pressure has to be kept on Gondor or there will be full stacks sitting on the border, waiting for still more after Gondor has finished off Isengard. @epmtotal war will be able to open a second front against Dol Amroth soon. Mordor needs a navy. The Ardunaim attacking Khand should it to pull troops back from Mordor and Rhun. The forces in Eastern Mordor should hold and then go on the counter-attack. An alliance with the Ardunaim should be pretty high up the wishlist. Rohan switching to attacking Mordor rather than Dol Guldur is good for Dol Guldur. Rohan''s coming in piecemeal, though that won't last forever. Meanwhile a good stack of Mordor troops will aim to take Aldburg, Edoras and the Hornburg, depriving Rohan of its good troop recruiting centres. Saruman had one job. He failed. if Rohan and Gondor don't kill Isengard, Mordor will.

Maulers are very good for what they bring to the table and Khand is a pain, could have turned north to DG and Khand could have swept the south.

For sure. Double regular trolls and same as great beasts though and more expensive to recruit than great beasts is a bit much.

Okay but the orc maulers had a close to one to one kill ratie which considering that those were actual Gondorian mainline units that was pretty good.
They were mainly fighting the gondor militia unit.

I don't know if I've ever seen Khand actually being able to attack from the back.
