I really want to see one of these things designed for ONE person and TONS of storage. It's irritating that so much space is used for the bed and entertaining. If I'm living in a truck camper, I need storage, not sleeping for 4 or dinner for 8. lol You can get a tent and we can eat outside. SO much space is wasted on that in these things. Design one for ONE person and ALL their stuff with a huge closet to actually hang your clothes in. Not everyone has only 5 outfits to wear that can all be stuffed into a bin. Twin bed, big closet, lagoon table next to the bed, desk, bigger fridge/freezer for actual food. That's what I want.
Here's a concept: design your own! You're clearly a Leftist, otherwise you'd probably have a family, or at least a husband you'd want to hit the road with. But you're a single shrew who thinks that the world owes her something so goes on TH-cam complaining about what isn't available instead of noticing a void in the market and filling it. You might find out that reality can hit you pretty hard in the face , though, when doing such a thing. You might find out that there is a much smaller market for single person campers than you think.
Are campers subject to the “chicken law” that RV’s are. The Chinese one checks all my office especially the “sky suite” but googling it does not bring up any info to buy. Only sold in China?
It's always a pleasure to watch any of Minds Eye Design videos. Novelties full of precise info that are interesting to witness, all wrapped in an auspicious presenting atmosphere.
Thank you so much! It's always a joy to read a nice comment after several highly exagerated pricing complaints. 🙄 I do hope some others didn't focuss solely on the two luxury additions and gained some insite. I think finding truck campers with a toilet and shower is useful information. For those interested of course.

However, it is sold for a staggering price of 350,000 USD in the United States. Despite this price difference, the creators are passionate about developing the campervan at a fair price. Full aluminum structure: While using the same base, a full aluminum structure was applied to achieve durability and lightness of the entire vehicle.
I hope you respond, I have a love/hate relationship with your channel, I love your presentation, a narrator that does not sound like a bot talking (you probably know which videos I’m talking about) and a time table that tells you where the video one may want is making it easy to find a vehicle that one liked, prices of the vehicle, but my hate part is this video like SO many of yours, show products that you can NOT get here, i.e. the Dux camper from Brazil, googled it and the links I found were all in German (though logically it sounds like they should be in Portuguese.). Frustrating so many innovative and SMALL RV’s, vans etc. can only be bought in Europe, I know that your channel wants to show innovative unique products, but it’s frustrating for some viewers to be smitten by something, yet unable to obtain it.
I'm surprised to hear your general comment about the full list. I made sure to include several options that I believe are fairly priced or even a good deal. I initially had two more campers, both priced at $40,000, but I removed them from this list due to a lack of quality media. The first camper on this list is $65,000, which is quite average, especially considering it includes a bathroom. The Big Explorer is only $42,000. The Denali is priced at almost $75,000, but let's face it; it's as big as a house. The Novaquest, which is a very cool and innovative truck camper, comes in at around $54,000 USD. I added two extra high-priced luxury campers for comparison and because without them, this list would have been too repetitive. Even though both 27North campers are well out of my price range, I still love to see what people come up with, especially with such a unique design like the Ascender. There are people who will find them interesting for reasons other than price. Only 2 out of the 8 campers in this video are priced high enough to be considered a 'joke,' and I don't agree with that description whatsoever. Many people in this world have significant financial resources, and if they are shopping for a nice camper, those same individuals might want a camper like the two on this list from 27North. Usually, if it's cheap, it's built that way too.
I agree for how much one uses the truck camper you must love it because you will never break even monetarily speaking kinda puts a damper on the journey and adventure
@@maynardholmes8870 I had a truck camper for 22 years. I sold it for 50% of what it cost to purchase. That made the cost $500 a year. You have no idea how people are going to use a camper or how long they'll keep it. Stop thinking you're "the average" and "everyone is just like me." We're not.
The prices of these campers are unjustifiably insane!!!! When you consider the price of the pickup trucks that are needed to haul these toys, the total costs more than most people's homes. That's unconscionable! Pure greed. I hope that the manufacturers who are gouging people go under!
@@buckhorncortez I know enough to realize when I can purchase MANY of the internal components in an RV else I, for a fraction of what I'm being charged. I've built enough home renos to know when someone's fleecing me. That doesn't even begin to take into account the better pricing that manufacturers get on all sorts of things that end up in the RV
@@MickPsyphon You still have accounted for labor and overhead. Also, the volume produced factors into the overall cost. The lower the volume, the higher the cost because the fixed cost per unit is higher. It's not as simple as you'd like it to be. Home renovation has NOTHING to do with building an RV. The largest cost in home renovation is labor and NOT materials. Renovation overhead costs are lower as you don't have a facility and associated taxes, depreciation, utilities, insurance, etc. Apples to ice cubes comparison - not even close to the same.
@@buckhorncortez B-U-L-L-S-H-I-T!!! The company I worked for when we did home renovations had a 3 acre lot, on which the machine shop housed both the equipment we used, as well as many of the materials. Outside was the heavy equipment: backhoes, a front end loader, an excavator, a flatbed truck, a 40 ft flatbed & International truck, as well as an assortment of smaller vehicles. Granted, the operation wasn't as grand as an RV manufacturer, but it wasn't a small scale operation by any means. There were at least 35 regular employees throughout the year; and at the busiest times of year we had twice that amount. The home renovations were anything from small one-room projects all the way up to entire additions to homes. It was a pretty good sized "small" business. So, most of the points that you keep regurgitating apply to it. Stop assuming that other people don't know what we're talking about. The world is a big place; and most people on the internet have a lifetime of their own VALID experiences.
You can buy the same camper that is five years old for 20% of what this is. No one should be buying new RV equipment unless you’re filthy rich and don’t mind throwing away your money.
Some campers are difficult to find used and you have little choice other than to buy new. I sold my camper earlier this year and had calls from all over the United States because it was desirable and difficult to find used. BTW - I had the camper for 22 years. At the price it sold for, it cost me $500 a year to own...

Very pretty but extremely expensive, a DIY kit is built at a fraction of the cost of a factory-built kit. It is not possible for vanlifers to build their motorhomes for less than US30k
The fellow TH-camrs from the "Sin Code Postal" Channel in Spain built a camper cell for their 4x4 pickup for approximately 30k dollars. Those costs that you mention in the video are simply exaggerated, and to all this increases the cost of interest for the credits contracted from the manufacturer, for such a small space such prices are not justified

some of these like the Rexrover i wouldnt consider it a truckbed camper, at that point its a RV, yes it goes where the bed would be but its one piece it DOESNT sit in the trucks bed it replaced it
