Thank you so much x10. The lab that made my teeth 😬 is ... crap... I've had two upper sets (one was free, they tried) but for two + years they Break every few weeks or months just eating. One time they broke on oatmeal. I've had them Break in as little as 5 days. They won't fix them anymore so you have just thought me how to do it myself. Thank you VERY MUCH! 😁
Well I enjoyed your video, but I think you might miss the point a bit. I am retired so the issue of getting into an office to obtain a proper repair is not so significant. I kind of want to think the same thing about most folks even. No I think the central issue here is the COST of repair. I mean, I went to the local dentist in College Station Texas, and was informed that the cost for (what I understood) a complete set of dentures would be about $ 3500.00, not including the cost for removal of my remaining teeth. Ok I understand and agreed to get this taken care of. Well the aforementioned price was for ONE denture, in this case the lower. I had to come up with an additional $4000 for the upper denture. Neither of these have fit properly since installed. Further after some 6-8 months of wear the dentist lets me know that this set was "only" the ....temporary ... set. I will need to obtain a permanent set in about a year. WTF who has $8000 to $15000 to get teeth? Obviously I will join the legion of other folks who will end up making my own at home from a kit, or using superglue to put a loose tooth back in place. The entire dental industry speaks very poorly indeed about the state of health care in America. We can spend literally a trillion dollars for a war we should not have been involved with in the first place, but we can make our fellow citizens suffer with pain, poor nutrition, and risk of infections because they can not get their teeth repaired properly.
I just love your repair video, wow! I had my bottom partial in my moth 2 weeks and they broke when I put them in my hand rinsed them off held them to dry them and they split right where the dentist pulled a tooth and added a tooth where the tooth was pulled. And it was a big thing with me and the dentist at the dentist office. A total nightmare 😢. He wanted me to pay for new partials I made them fix those!!. Thanks for sharing 👍
Dental technician here I never use super glue to start off with if it's not located properly your knackered, I use sticky wax if the two halves are not located properly you have a second chance , the worst repairs are when a dog has chewed the denture , they love them think their bones !
Ok, I fostered a dog and she ate my teeth. I only had them for about 2 months before she did this. I was fortunate to save what I could. So, the question is, can they REALLY be fixed since they're in pieces? Please help. I don't have the money to replace them, I'm diabetic and need to get my nutrition in. The dentist who removed my teeth, was supposed to remove 3 teeth and took them all, with shaving my jaw bone down to where the teeth cannot fit. What suggestions do you have?
Dropping a denture doesn't usually break it. Biting down on a bristle or something tiny and hard and bam either broken or cracked. Has happened to me twice.
Dental technician here , the repair acrylic is self curing called cold cure but needs to be cured in a pressure pot filled with warm water to prevent porosity
I had my teeth removed and I finally got my dentures and its was amazing. Unfortunately I was making dinner and my dog found my dentures box broke the case and decided my lower denture would be a good treat. I caught her pretty quickly but she broke them and ate 1 molar. I cried for hours and hours cuz you can only get 1 set every 7 years on Medicaid. I ended up super glueing them. Now in making homemade dentures. Its much cheaper but they move when you eat and stuff so in always fixing the at home kit
I wish I could take it to the office but it’s 4 hrs away or I can mail it to another state and be toothless for a few weeks. I can’t do either one at this moment. I have to have a temp fix. Luckily for me, I’m a dental assistant so I hope I’m able to repair it without messing it up. I took my own impressions, I have a diy hand piece and I have monomer & acrylic. 😬wish me luck lmao
funny you say they are hard to break when mine I had wrapped in paper towel and placed them in my pocket because I can not eat with them in my mouth and I bent over to pick something I dropped up and I heard "SNAP" in my pocket I pulled them out and they broke in half right down the middle. So I'm sorry but they are very easy to break in my experience
I chipped a tooth on my bottom plate, I am beginning to see that I will need to replace the entire tooth. I thought there would be a fast, easy DIY way to get by. If anyone knows of one, please let me know. I don't want to go a week without my plate while I send them off to be repaired.
The name of the video needs to be changed its a little misinformation , but was fun 2 watch. ..but was lookin around 2 see a video on how they are going to fix my denture . So worried it won't fit right after. I've had so much trouble with these wish I'd went somewhere else but after spending all my money I'm stuck 😫 but these teeth u were using 4video looked 10x better then my "top quality " ones :( thank u for all the videos u put out .
14:40 super helpful how your hand blocks us from seeing how much liquid you're adding. Extra points for not verbally expressing how much you're adding. Every video needs a mystery
10:38 we didnt see you glue a denture together.. what we saw was the back of your hand for a few secs and then suddenly a whole denture appeared... dude.. you yap too much.

Thanks for creating this video and making it entertaining. I was not looking forward to diving into the topic of denture repair but you made it fun.

You're not supposed to be attempting a in house repair in the first place so what's it matter lmao..
Heat breaks CA glue 😉 I would recommend using a hot air gun, a heat gun rather than a lighter or something like that LOL
lol, awesome
I wish I could have my teeth fixed 🥺
Thanks for wasting 17 minutes of my life with total B.S. content that should have been shown in 3 minutes or less, without all the clickbait spamming!
