I think it needs pointing out that the critics who panned this series, didn’t ‘get it’ at all. I’m very surprised by the negativity on social media also. I thought it was brilliant and was really pleased to see Tim Key in a main role, whole cast was cream of crop, although, where was Julia Davis?? Daniel Rigby was amazing. Please make more and give Alistair Green some bigger roles already!

The rabbit catching scene was the most I've laughed at TV in years!

i’ve been looking forward to this series for months, and i was not disappointed in the slightest! tim and daisy are a perfect pairing, and the supporting cast was incredible. tuwaine, jessica, daniel, and reece were all flawless. the episodic cameos were delightful too (mike wozniak, kiell smith-bynoe, katy wix, etc.)-it’s always fun to see familiar faces!
there’s been far too much negativity in response to this series. all the snivelling about the “woke” casting should be ignored. none of it is genuine constructive criticism. the series is funny, wonderfully cast, and delivers a more emotional punch than you’d expect. tim was right, daisy truly shines in the more dramatic moments. there were many scenes that really warmed my heart before breaking it immediately after. the gibbons brothers have created something beautiful, and i don’t think i could love it any more than i already do.

I quite liked this, but I was expecting lots of jokes whereas this has more of a Detectorists vibe (if not quite the same kind of characters). Reminded me of the first series of Blackadder: some nice ideas, great cast etc but just needs a different setting. Too many beautiful landscapes!
