I’m bi too! I also almost started crying. I’m usually not one to cry over that stuff, but I almost did. Me and some of my friends are bi, one of my friend is gay, and we all support each other, and it was very difficult for me and my friends to tell each other, but we did!
Iida is so capable of NOT ONLY being a villain with his current _canon_ backstory, but he’s also CANONICALLY in a lot of pain... AUs like this are lovely and sad all in one- but Iida is just so... sad? His brother almost died (bUT DIDNT) and he’s in a wheelchair- we haven’t met his parents (in the anime, at least) and they seem very strict- just LOOK AT HIM! People try to make characters with sub-par backstories seem sadder with AUs and things, but we already have characters in the show and MANGA with such terribly sad backstories!! The manga goes more in-depth with them (no duh) but... stop trying to make Deku seem sadder than Iida, Todoroki and Shigaraki. Deku got bullied, and yeah, that’s terrible- but he’s a very positive person and him doing anything self-destructive on PURPOSE (minus his quirk) seems out-of-character for him, or at least it does to me... idk, tell me in the replies
