He sang it with respect and dignity, soul and grace. As it should be.
When is the last time you saw him with his hat off. That was not just incidental.
Amen mam.
Word .
Yes he did
Well said 👍🏻👍🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
This man representing his country the way it always should be. No BS, just simply heartfelt and beautiful. Thanks Chris Stapleton. Thanks Sebs.
Rihanna didn't do hardcore dance in Superbowl performance cuz she was pregnant yet did mild choreography yet she is being hated and PPL are saying why didn't she dance . The thing is if women who perform national anthem don't sing like the way they do, they are ridiculed and bashed but when men sing without doing anything , then they are appreciated. Also here I am not referring to Chris Stapleton or his performance
@@ayush9791 I hate that it is this way, but with anything with big time exposure, there’s gonna be a vocal minority that hates. I wouldn’t consider myself a fan of hers in the traditional sense, but thought she did a great job. Made me go add a couple of her songs to my playlist that I remember from my younger days.
@@ayush9791 what
@Ayush think your confused...Rihanna did a fine job...this thread is about the National anthem not Rihanna..???????
completely agree!
He deserves a 9th Grammy for that performance!
I'm 47 years old and I don't think I've ever heard a more perfect rendition of our National Anthem. It just brings me to tears and swells my heart with pride.
When I listen to Chris sing it, I can see the battle that the poem was written for. It transported me. It's an incredibly profound rendition.
Amen Brother
Whitney. Houston. And I love Chris.
Welcome to America brother. We are proud to welcome you.
Brought grown men to tears, his performance was flawless!!!!
All American man playing an all American guitar singing the all time greatest national anthem
The. Best. Rendition. In super bowl history and maybe ever.
You are spot on. Chris was focusing on the anthem, the lyrics. For just a few minutes, he had ALL of America "feeling" together. It was amazing!!
Great comment!
He sang it like someone who knows how fortunate they are to live in America.
What a voice and performance. All timer
Absolutely ❤
I´m from Sweden but I cry like a baby! He sang your anthem beautifu!
@chris stapleton loooong time! ❤
Chris Stapleton just brought 100 million people to tears.
A cry in his voice is the best way to describe it… you literally feel every word he sings ❤
If only our nation could unite in love like Chris sang this song.
We did….if only for a couple minutes
This country has never been United and it never will, which in some regards makes it so special that so many people with so many diff opinions, perspectives, personalities, and backgrounds can still be the most powerful country on earth, in a way it’s what makes us unique
Yes yes!!!
@@gloriarollerson5696 get rid of all the liberal democrats that have ruined states, cities , and towns, Malcolm X said the white liberal will be the enemy of the American black, and if he didn’t tell the truth . White liberals have taken away religion, cancel culture, fake woke, have created govt control over the urban communities, all the while living in their precious gated communities, wake up people !
YES!
He didn’t over sing it! It was all soul!!!! Hit you in the heart!
That was straight up dedicated to all those unpatriotic, disrespectful and country haters. They'll never approve of this Anthem because they want their own.
As a veteran, I cry EVER time I hear the national anthem.
I raised my hand back in 1986 with the fear that my children would not know the freedoms that I had growing up in the 'Land of the Free' that were slowly being taken away. I was once willing to give my Life for what this country stood for. Now, I find myself having to protect my family from what this country has become. I love my country but am Absolutely DISGUSTED with this government.
Chris Stapleton has a classic "country" voice and sings circles around today's so-called country music artists.
Thank you for the review and your Patriotism !
Thank you for your service 🙏 ❤️
@@tinamarcum6170 the honor was mine. God bless.
Thank you for your service
Thank you for your service and sacrifices for our country. ❤
I feel the same! Raised my hand in 1985.
A man with a guitar and a small amp casually makes an entire country stop and roll tears.
when you can make grown tough men cry, and have millions of others doing the same...
they call you, CHRIS STAPLETON
He is a singer with God looking over his shoulder smiling.
In our anthem, which Stapleton sang with total respect... we are ALL Americans. no red, no blue, doesn't matter where u are from or what u look like on the outside...we are all united as Americans, as it should be.
His guitar was singing the harmony. So much talent and a deep soul.
Chris made it all about the anthem. Not himself and/or showing off per taking vocals over the top like other performers do. Chris made it real and patriotic. As it should be. I think that's why the players were so into it and crying. It touched us deeply. Thank you Chris.
First off, Sebs, congrats on becoming a citizen! People like you definitely deserve it, man. Now, as for the Anthem. I always get the shivers and choked up during a good anthem. This was not a good anthem. This was f'ing fantastic. Y'all think the Eagles coach Nick was crying? Man, I was straight up fell back in my chair, hand on my heart, talkin leaking, crying. Hell, I'm still blubberin, my guy! Not even ashamed. Damn!
Best anthem I think I’ve ever heard.
The difference between Chris and other people who have sang this Chris sang the song with respect and the way it should be sing other artists get on there and try to Showcase their voice much respect for Chris the best I have ever heard this song sing
Best part of the whole Superbowl hands down.
Chris is one of those Once in a Generation performers.
This one caught everyone off-guard. No pyrotechnics, no backup singers, just a man with his guitar. IMHO, best ever.
Note the thing that most miss... the all-women flyover. These are combat-capable pilots in the "electronic attack" roles. These fine officers do the heavy lifting to get our pilots back home to hug their families. :)
The Man brought to full tears was Eagles Head Coach.. So proud of that man!
I don't care what anyone says Chris Stapleton had the best national anthem ever he wasn't singing for the fame or glory he sang from the heart and sang like he is a proud American. The best National anthem ever!!!!!
There is difference of singing the anthem and feeling the anthem. He felt each word and is proud to be American.
He came to the Super Bowl, a huge flashy show, and stripped the anthem down to the bare bones. It was beautiful!
This song didn’t end on the high note of the free, it ended beautifully on the brave. That ending when he sang that last note was soulful and gave us proper closure and reverence to our anthem.
He is absolutely awesome. Just this one performance was better than the whole halftime show.
far more heart and soul in this singing of our anthem than Fergie ever could give it
I just bought Chris Stapleton tickets for July. I'm so excited!!!
I love when the national anthem is sung slow, so we can dwell on the story. So many singers focus on the technical difficulty of it. The story is beautiful.
That's one of the best parts. It's like if an old veteran who was there is regaling you the tale.
Not impressed with the acrobatic singers doing the National Anthem.
I've just gotta say something real quick. To see someone that is not original from America come here and love, cherish, and support us and our military in a way that a lot of Americans don't even do themselves really means more to me than words can explain, and I am sure allot of other Americans could say the same! Thank you, it really does mean so much!
He made me cry.
The emotions he generated was unreal.
He brought the soul and emotion to it. Most amazing job singing our National Anthem I have ever heard! Absolutely amazing.
No riffs, no runs, no acrobatics. Just a raw, grassroots rendition by a MALE VOICE hitting hard straight to the hearts of those guys getting emotional as shown on the big screen. It was like a MAN TO MAN talk of what it's like being an American
Wow ❤ chills
I've had the honor of seeing him live once. Will definitely see him again! He can sing the phone book!!!!
Chris stapelton is probably the most talented artist to appear in the last 10 years. Thanks Chris for giving us your music. You are incredible
It's hard to believe he was once afarid to be on stage!!
No Hollywood set. No fancy costumes. Just a man his guitar and an amp. Chris so crushed it. Best anthem ever to my ear. Chris and Whitney now share. GOAT
Chris Stapleton’s performance is probably my favorite performance of the National Anthem. He absolutely nailed it!!
chris sings the truth
his voice could heal any lost soul
i love him so much
from france with love god bless all my american brothers
The gentleman with the tears flowing down his cheeks was the head coach of the Eagles. His dream years ago was to be on the sidelines at the Super Bowl and hear the National Anthem. What a guy! God Bless The USA!
Wow.... and playing guitar at the same time, in front of hundreds of millions....wow just wow. Effortless like you said.
I must have listened to this about 60 times today. I love Chris' version of our national anthem. Soulfully, beautifully and respectfully done. Thank you, Chris.
This is what you get when a singer that truly LOVES/RESPECTS America....
I’ll never understand how anyone could kneel for our anthem. How could it not make you proud to be an American?🤷🏻♀️
As a U.S. Army Desert Storm vet and proud American, I appreciate so much YOUR appreciation of this incredible country, and what a privilege it is to call it home. Hearing your story and seeing your reaction to the anthem was just awesome. We're not perfect, but despite our flaws it's still the greatest and freest nation on Earth. Some take that for granted.
Proud to call you my brother, and it was my honor to serve so you could enjoy everything it has to offer. This nation needs more like you, who value and understand what it truly means to be - an American.
That was the first ever all-woman pilot flyover by the Airforce. Two of the pilots are from Albuquerque! FLY, GIRLS!
I think you're the only person in the reaction videos I've seen for this have given those women their did credit! Thank you. Also, I'm a huge country music fan but unfortunately not a Chris Stapleton fan and even I can say he's the best National Anthem performance I've ever seen!
Hearing the National Anthem has always been an emotional experience for me, even as a small child. I am 76yrs old and have heard it more times than I can count but never have I ever experienced the depths of emotion I felt hearing Chris's rendition. This makes the 29th time I've listened to it and it still leaves me in tears.
I love that he kept it simple and still killed it. ♥️🇺🇲
He picked up his guitar and gently serenaded the whole country....for two minutes we were all American's again...I'm in my 60's, this and Whitney Houston set the gold standard for the national anthem...this will be tough to beat...ever.
In my 66 years of life, this is the BEST and most heartfelt version EVER!! It makes us emotional because he does it with such feeling that draws out the pride we feel for our country.
Stapleton’s version is the most EPIC! So much SOUL in his voice!! “8x Grammy Award Winner!”… very well deserved!! Thanks for reviewing this HT show!! 🤙🏽🤙🏽🤙🏽
I didn't watch the game but I absolutely loved Chris Stapleton singing the National Anthem !!! It still brought tears again hearing it again 😭
Amazing rendition. One of my favorites even though my team lost. #FlyEaglesFly
Lost alot of money from the eagles losing :/
He brought tears to my eyes. This is the best American Anthem I have ever heard from this man singing it. May God bless him and use him to minister to this country and the citizens who love this country with peace and love among each other.
This man told Americas story and sorrows with that rendition. Absolutely beautiful.
Having served this country I have had a tear in my eye every time I hear this song. It happened last night watching live and again just now!!
Thanks for your service!
Thank you for your service and sacrifice 🙏
That is 1 of the best versions I ever heard.
Chris killed it 🔥🔥🔥🔥was so excited to see him do this !!! Amazing job ❤ Thanks for react
So so beautiful 😭😭😭❤️❤️❤️
He made me cry for my county. Chris sang it like a sad song that many Americans
can relate to the fact that we are losing our once great nation.
I have not cried so much at a National Anthem since Whitney. Then here comes Chris. Stop. That was absolute perfection. 🤌🏼🤌🏼🤌🏼🤌🏼🤌🏼🤌🏼🤌🏼🤌🏼🥹🥹🥹🥹🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
Thank you for not stopping the National Anthem, for not disrespecting it.
That performance is one of the best ever in my opinion! I mean ranking up there with the likes of Whitney Houston's in 1991! Loved your reaction and welcome to the US!!
Yes ❤
That was the first time I have "FELT" the National Anthem! No one was standing rigid with their hand over their heart. People were hooting and cheering! Chris Stapleton made history by his music reaching people's inner soul.
He is one of the best live performers going right now.
He gives me goosebumps every time I hear him perform live!
I went to see him live last summer and he was amazing. Told a friend after that, I wanted to here him do the anthem.
That same friend texted me last night after he sang, and said that you didn’t have some kind of reaction to his performance your not American! 😂
Absolutely 💯 agree
This is the one and ONLY National Anthem. As a 66yr old veteran, I'm humbled every time I hear it. 🇺🇸
Masterpiece performance, so emotional ❤️🇺🇸
The crowd joining in on “The Brave” was all you needed to know about how it moved the crowd!
I couldn't tell, but have seen frequently online that Chiefs fans have a habit of singing the word Chiefs in place of Brave as the last word of the anthem. Upon listening
more closely to the soundtrack, I do hear at least some of that. Applaud the fan support, not the way they choose to display it. While perhaps not meant as such, it is somewhat disrespectful. A rousing "Go Chiefs" (or some such rallying cry) in unison after anthems end would suffice.
chris stapleton's voice be like a fine aged whiskey
BEAUTIFUL, it made me cry too. Loved your reaction to this song.
Chris Stapleton was singing from the heart. I've watched it 3 times so far...
The best Superbowl performance EVER
Chris Stapleton has so much soul in his voice. He's genuine, no flash, just him. 🔥🔥🔥🔥
That was the best national anthem I've ever heard.
Sounds like a hymn! Goosebumps! Emotionally taps to our patriotic soul❤🇺🇸
He literally brought the anthem to the 21st century. Unbelievable the best for our time
Chris Stapleton rendition laid out our history slowly so everyone could hear. Way to go Chris you made us so proud of you.
I feel such pride hearing this!!
this is the best rendition of ANY national anthem i have EVER HEARD, it's so good i woke up today fried a handgun and called myself American.
Thank you, for doing it right! I know it was a lot of work, but it was worth it!
Best anthem EVER sung.
Omg... This man is a treasure. His voice is just extraordinary.
Down to earth singing, the national anthem! He’s phenomenal!! No theatrics, or anything to distract from his singing the words! I would recommend that you watch a video, “the national anthem, like you’ve never heard it before” is the name of it. I’m a senior citizen and I sang this song, my whole life but I never completely understood it until I watch that video. I always felt the emotion when singing it but I never really understood.
How can anyone not be proud to be an American after hearing that!!
Just brings to mind all the people we have lost and sacrificed to serve our country. Emotions are very apparent.
Thanks for reviewing this reverent masterpiece from Chris. Keep the CS reactions coming. Love them!!!❤
When someone has it in their heart , it shows in their performance.
No one will ever be able to top Chris’ performance!!! Every time I hear it I cry!!!
@chris stapleton I found you through ABthereactor on TH-cam and I sincerely love your music. Tennessee Whiskey was the first song I heard. I have been out of the USA 🇺🇸 for 5 years now that’s why I missed out on you thankfully I found you!!! The National Anthem brought tears to my eyes THANK YOU!!!
Thank you, Chris Stapleton, for being an American patriot. It was nice to see grown men brought to tears, after all of the kneeling garbage that we've seen for the past several years.
I love me some Chris Stapleton 🎶🏈😉✌🏽✨🇺🇸it was incredible 🎶
You are absolutely right this chris staplton is amazing! By far my favorite ❤️
