He was one hell of a recruiter and head coach. Thank you for what you did for us in Oklahoma.

Coach Switzer averaged at least 10 wins a season back when teams only played 11 regular season games, and no conference title or playoff games...Amazing.

Very few coaches have a college championship and a super bowl Oklahoma was an elite team at that time especially with that wishbone offense I love those Nebraska and Oklahoma rivals

"No one was getting cars, no one was getting vehicles"🤣😂🤣
Barry clearly doesn't remember what he said in Marcus Dupree's 30 for 30

Funny that he cries about the status of today’s college football when it was OU that sued the NCAA and took it to the Supreme Court that changed college football forever and turned it into what it is today! College football evolved into a professional sport ever since! Thanks OU! 🖕However, I respect Barry Switzer very much for being very honest about how he feels about letting UH into the Big 12. He tells the truth and there is no sugar-coating or coach speaks on his part, just the honest truth! I respect that!

OU and UGA apologize deeply for helping make it possible for people to watch their teams play on TV more than once or twice a year. Too bad these schools couldn't (legally) shell out more than a scholly all these years... Thank you Ed O'Bannon.

I'm sure college football fans appreciate what Oklahoma and Georgia did. I am.

You made more than 24,000 a year plus all the under the table stuff lol love how the good ole days btw it was jimmy’s team cowboys

I think he should of stayed in college football. To be honest I could of coached the cowboys to win the super bowl at that time. Jimmy made the cowboys relevant again. I completely believe if Jerry would of just been the owner and not try to be the head coach the boys would of been as dominant as the pats use to be. Many super bowls have the cowboys missed with the owner trying to be the coach

Jack Mildred was not as good as Prinson Pointdexter out of Memphis, Tennessee who went Langston University. Langston had Clarence James, Hollywood Henderson, and Henry Thatcher were better than most of the talent OU. However, that was before integration.

Prentice Gautt was an All-American running back for OU in the 1950s - nearly 15 years before Jack Mildren's time. BTW - he was African-American.

@@blc2103 Yes sir, this is true and Clarence James was offered by Oklahoma, Kansas, Missouri, and Notre Dame but was not comfortable with going to a prominently White schools.
