W.A.S.P. is an American (heavy metal, glam metal, shock rock) band formed in 1982.
They emerged from the early 1980s Los Angeles heavy metal scene.
The band's popularity peaked that decade, yet they continue to record and tour, making them one of the most enduring of the West Coast heavy metal bands. W.A.S.P. gained notoriety for their shock rock-themed image, lyrics and live performances.
They are estimated to have sold over twelve million records worldwide, with their first two albums, W.A.S.P. (1984) and The Last Command (1985), being certified as gold by the RIAA.

Great band.
As a drummer I love the rhythm and beat of The Headless Children, that whole 2+ minute opening is dark, brooding and heavy as hell. TBF that whole song is fun to play. Ballcrusher has a good guitar riff, simple and catchy and I'm Alive has that galloping triplet rhythm that makes you want to drive really fast even if you're sitting on the couch.
I discovered this amazing band not a long time ago. My favourite song is Rebel in the FDG!
Wasp always cool, good performance, cool sound.
I'm not fan W.A.S.P. but i liked it. I like "Miss You", "The Flame", "I Wanna Be Somebody"...
Fantastic. You are missing Rebel in the FDG and Man Eater. W.A.S.P have so much grit and swagger in these riffs!
