@ i speak Spanish and English, trying to learn Chinese at the moment (already done like 2+ years of lessons) and I can pretty much get around with Portuguese if I’m being honest, I don’t speak it tho, but well as a Spanish speaker it’s really easy to understand. yeah i am American but my parents are not so i grew up learning three languages. English, urdu and arabic, I know a bit of korean and chinese because of my friends, and japanese because of well anime. i started watching anime since i was very young like 5 so it was easier to learn.
I'm trilingual, I don't think I have a thinking language as such. I'll think using words in my head depending on language being read/spoken/written... But then there are things which aren't in a language...like a scenary, or a machine working or a decoding social actions... It's just images in your head I guess....

They did taught us a few European languages in school such as German, French and Spanish but the thing is... the students just usually mess around ALOT In class because they thought learning another language is useless compared to passing other subjects such as math and English. @ i speak Spanish and English, trying to learn Chinese at the moment (already done like 2+ years of lessons) and I can pretty much get around with Portuguese if I’m being honest, I don’t speak it tho, but well as a Spanish speaker it’s really easy to understand. They did taught us a few European languages in school such as German, French and Spanish but the thing is... the students just usually mess around ALOT In class because they thought learning another language is useless compared to passing other subjects such as math and English. They see english as a universal language which it is btw because let's face it... everyone speaks it. But they don't bother learning other languages. From my personal experience, i had a few cases of people talking non stop. I can't even concentrate in class because of a few lads next to me keeps talking. There are no respect towards teachers at all. Its brutal.
