The state of Rio Grande do Sul in Brazil is about the size of two Floridas in the USA, and approximately 90% of the state has been inundated, affecting over 366 cities with waters reaching at least halfway up the homes. Thousands of bodies, from babies to the elderly, are currently submerged underwater, along with dozens of animals of all species. This is the largest natural disaster ever seen in Brazil. Additionally, there are problems with theft, looting, armed robberies of civilian rescue boats, and rape of women and children who were rescued and abused within shelters. The federal government has not been sufficiently active in addressing the issues, and the majority of rescues are being carried out by civilian volunteers. The situation is chaotic, and the people are at the mercy of their own fate. Digital influencers have been making significant efforts and raising millions in funds to help, but with minimal state presence and unpreparedness, everyone is doing what they can.
Where is Fetterman's wife? She's from Brazil and could probably raise a lot of $$$. Since they said he's recovered.

I am a Brazilian from the state of Minas Gerais, I had never before seen a natural tragedy of this magnitude, the people of Rio Grande do Sul are suffering a lot from this catastrophe of nature, as it also happened in the American state of New Orleans almost twenty years ago!

People complain even though they are receiving from government, they are doing the best they can. What you suggest as a ministry sir. I can see helpers from São Paulo state., probably there are more from others state.
The state is helping, the problem is that there's a lot of political interest, especially from right-wing supporters who are using this moment to oppose to the government. Don't believe everything you see, there's tons of influencers whole are lying and spreading fake news and making it hard for people to know who to help.

What really caused all of this were polar air masses with cold fronts that were parked above the state, blocked by hot air masses further north, which resulted in torrential rain and this flooding was further aggravated due to the valley topography of the place. , channeling a lot of this water in one place

Its flooding all over the world. I would try to make a raft. I am very sorry for your loss .Its a high death number .Today loved ones are in shock. I made rafts often as a kid. Pets need to be found. A small raft is easier to push. A large raft to hold pets. Curtains, tarps , plastic for tents. It can rain a lot in global warming. Croc' s will attack. Its a very trajic and dangerous time. I do Pray for you.

Most of the people who are being saved and are being cared for are being cared for by ordinary citizens by the people. There are a large number of people from all over Brazil donating to Rio Grande do Sul, including from abroad.
The Non-profit associates and the CEO are Brazilians. The CEO's last name is very common in that part of Brazil, so he is probably from there, they are just trying to help and I don't think it will hurt the American people, nor the US economy if some good people donate what they don't need to help other human beings. Also, that state is made of Italy, Germany, and Poland descendents, they don't have carnival or such parties over there, they just work hard harvesting and raising a few cattle in their small piece of lands. Very humble people

The climate is crazy here, year by year. The heat waves are insane, breaking world records every year. 2022 was the hottest year in history, then 2023 broke that record, then 2024 broke the prior record, and the storms, winds, rains are so violent. I live in my city for 30 years and I never saw these type of rains. There are cities here snowing for the first time. There is something happening with the planet and no one is talking about it, it's going to affect every country soon.

Em fim de abril acumulou e choveu segunda, terça e quarta, todos os dias os 100mm e aí mesmo quem mora nos lugares não atingidos...passou o dia em casa. SEM ÁGUA, poorque a chuva f... com a adutora, com energia elétrica. Internet e telefone ora funciona, ora não. Pandemia revival

Sometimes there are tornados here in Brazil, but I think that nothing compared to the big ones in the US. We have had much heat since october, what is not common, although it's a tropical country.
Those areas ARE being helped generously by other Texans who choose to support there fellow Texans. What have YOU done?
@@RawrDinosaurgrr , there are many people helping them here, too, in person or through donations. I don't live in the south of Brazil, but I had never seen a flood of such magnitude in the country before. Many towns in Rio Grande do Sul state were affected.

One thing need to be said here, Lula and his administration is doing very little and too too long to start doing something to help the people of the state of Rio Grande do Sul, most people rescued were actually saved by civilians, not by the government, and most food, water and medications that arrived there to help from other states were bought by the private sector and ordinary civilians in general, while the federal and state governments are making it more difficult for people to help and they're being strongly criticized. Shame on Brazilian government, but many thanks for ordinary civilians, from poor people who help with what they could to rich businessmen that are doing much more than the government because if we wait this useless government to do something the number of deaths would triple.

I'm from Brazil and those informations are wrong. There are more deaths than that, more than anyone could count. The authorities aren't telling the truth about what's happening there, so people from that are making videos to tell the truth. On top of that, they are making even more difficult for people who really want to help to get there with the donations. The government wants to apply laws of fiscalization that doesn't makes sense now cause there's no time for that. It's been days, so if there's people waiting to be rescued in some locations, they're dying of hunger and thirst. More of the deaths are babies and elderlies. The situation is a big cathastrophy! God is coming!!! What bible says in being fulfilled right now!

It's better if you don't comment at all. The Carnival was in Rio de Janeiro, the "Gaúchos", citizens of the state of Rio Grande do Sul are mainly devoted Christians, and most of them are very honest workers. Also, most of them don't even like Carnival. You're just mixing a lot of facts up.
