    Ricky, man, I just wanna thank you from the bottom of my heart for these Digi tutorials. You lay it out in a simple and easy way and have really helped me demystify the 'takt.
    I appreciate you man, much love from Scotland.

    Thank you so much for this!!! This is the most coherent Digitakt tutorial video (playlist) i've seen yet! It goes through the steps in a way that someone who just got the machine would understand, and the way you demonstrate each function is clear and concise.

    Thanks for all of these! I got a Digitone recently, but just added the Digitakt and was struggling to make sense of it. Your walkthroughs are making it all click! Love this channel

    Thanks a lot, Enrique. Even though I'll probably never own a Digitakt, your videos are both informative and enjoyable as can be.
    I think that, like me, not just Digitakt owners can benefit from watching your videos. In this video's case, maybe some title manipulation would attract more viewers. For example, maybe call it "Source sample manipulation, demoed on the Digitakt" (I admit this isn't great, but I'm just throwing an idea :) I think you do A/B testing with titles in TH-cam, but I'm not sure.
    In any case - thanks again. You're great.

    lowering the bit-rate would lower the fidelity of the sample when played back so describing the use of lowering the BR as sounding LO-FI is technically correct

    Great job on this video. I'm loving that in each one of these videos is something I haven't figured out yet. That's the cool thing about Elektron gear (and the frustrating thing).

    Hello! Congratulations for your videos, with very illustrative;).
    I have a problem ... what is the reason why on the source page, in the sample list, when loading a new sample in the list, this sample appears duplicated? Thank you!

    Is it possible to modulate the start/end/loop point with lfos or envelopes? If not by default by midi loop back?

    These are great Enrique! That looks like my old hood in Burbank :D Hey man, I got a question regarding SRC. When playing live, how do you switch to a new track without it sounding off. Example: you got a mix playing on all 8 tracks. Currently track 4 is selected, but you want to edit the filter on track 5. If I hit track 5 while it's playing, the sample sounds. How can I select a track without it firing off the sample? Thanks man!

    • @RickyTinez
      @RickyTinez  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yo! thanks man. To select a sound without triggering the sample would be holding down the "Trk" button while selecting the track you want to edit!
      hope this helps. If not let me know and i'll figure it out

    • @Blackeyedangel

      HAH! oh dang. Just tried it and it works. Phew. thanks mang!

  • @josefk5659

    Ok. I’m trying to wrap my mind around the possibilities. I can use this to slow down a sample?
    Example: Brian Eno’s bright blue day. He recorded an omnicord and slowed it down to a snail’s pace. I can sample an omnicord into this and then slow it down to my desired speed?

    • @seusicha
      @seusicha 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You can slow it down but it will change the pitch of the sample. There are workarounds to do it without changing the pitch but it`s way easier to do this with your DAW.

    Wow! Thank you for this. It’s good to know even though you can’t slice samples in Digitakt, you could technically achieve the similar effect, albeit slower process, with duplicate samples trimmed to start and end at different points

    • @leftmono1016
      @leftmono1016 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Or by parameter locking the sample start point. Fast and creative.

    Do you think they will come out with a chop mode for smaples. Similar to the mpc or even op1.

    I really don't get it why they don't allow Poly Chromatic mode. It would've made this a great purchase for me. That's why I went for the Deluge, although I love how this one looks & feels.

    Nice vidéo bro ! thanks to you, I learn every day new tricks
    But I think Elektron should replace the Bit Reduction fonction, is so useless. I never use it.

    • @cstv333
      @cstv333 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Mr. Karter Understand i love the bit reduction, you can do some great stuff using the LFO page, for example find a snare sound, setup 'bit reduction' in the LFO, play around with the timing and depth and you have instant variation being applied to the snare sound.
