I’m super late to this video. I watched it and instantly I feel into this channel. It’s educating without being pompous. Which is super rare in ANY of the alcohol tasting realms. This is how the average Joe mixed with a developed palate would think. Instantly liked the video and right away subscribed.

Cheers and thanks. Just keeping it real. When I first got into whiskey people around me were on the snobby side and made me feel uncomfortable. So I want others that are new to the world of whiskey to feel confident in what they like even if it’s cheap. There’s no such thing as a bad whiskey, there’s just better ones out there 🤙🥃

@@WhiskeyQuests I can see why people are somewhat disappointed. It’s not obviously complex, but I like to think of it as “subtly complex”. I told my friend it taste like Greek mythology ambrosia haha. I would definitely spend $200 on a 750ml bottle. I loved it! The 18 year is also a good choice. I liked the Red and Black and will probably pick up a bottle of each. Wasn’t a big fan of the Gold Reserve or double black. I haven’t tried the Green label but will soon.

2 hours of analyzing each Whisky cut down to 20 minutes for your enjoyment. Time stamps down below for each individual scotch
    Red Label - 1:55
    Black Label - 3:25
    Double Black - 5:09
    Green Label - 7:21
    Gold Label Reserve - 9:25
    18 Yr Gold - 11:25
    Blue Label - 14:18

I like the blue more. But id rather have them sit at under 100$ both. In Germany i pay 60€ for the 18 and 130€ for the Blue. And to me both are worth the money easily, but if Blue Label is like 10% of your earnings... well id propably just buy it every 3 years or something. Still i think 80-90€ would be more fair for the Blue Label. And maybe 43%-46% thats the biggest "downside"... because the taste to me is perfect. But it is fairly weak. I also had the Cask version. That one was just a treat :) But 300€ ... I can get 30 year old Whisky for that so... not gonna be a monthly subscription on that one...

You’ll never know when a whisky will take you back to that moment. Black is popular for a reason cheaper and good flavors. You like what you like and that’s all you need. I had to drink 2 in a row and since then I would gag everytime i smell it. Only one way to find out go and find a mini sample bottle preferably Johnnie Walker 12. That way if it does you didn’t waste your money on a full bottle. I had a similar experience with tequila. And ever since then I gagged just by the smell. 17 years later I’m starting to get over it but only with the aged tequilas not so much the clear ones. Good luck 👍🥃

I mean we cannot assume that Blue Label would be cheap. That's like asking for a millionare dollar Diamond for 99 cents? really?
