- Travelling Northern Mindanao really is no different than travelling anywhere else in the Philippines and I was so happy to have my two Canadian friends Jeremy and Taylor come visit me in Cagayan de Oro!
We spent one day just riding scooters along the coast to a place called Initao. There WE FOUND THE COOLEST CAVE POOLS ALONG THE COAST!!!
Unique Filipino Fruits, Cave Pools, Beaches, Delicious Foods...
This was just another beautiful day for Canadians in Mindanao!!!

Kyle and Taylor, you guys are just the two of the luckiest and blessed persons on the planet...you got to see the most amazing and beautiful side and places of the Philippines ! I am a Filipino myself, a US Citizen, and been living here in Florida for 8 years now but I've never ever experience to travel some part of the amazing Philippines in my whole life...God bless you guys ! I wish I get to see and know you in person and get to travel with you....Have fun and always have a safe travel in Philippines or anywhere you are going...This is what life is all about, loving life, enjoying ourselves and get a chance to experience the world !
Taylor is such a good sport she's awesome I've watched all your videos with her and oh my I'm really impressed by how awesome she is. she's not picky nor shy. You should take her on your adventures more and more.
To have a great fun in the Philippines, you must to find a real and good person to help you traveling the country. Someone who'll not gonna trick you or fooled you. Great to know that you find someone to trust with Kyle(khulas) with your awesome adventure....keep safe and enjoy your beautiful journey. It's fun, watching you and your friends enjoying the trip. It feels like I am part of it, visiting those beautiful places.

The Chico is actually called a "sugar apple" or "sugar plum". The star-apple or kaimito comes in two varieties as you have already seen, the purple ones are called "tapol" by the locals (it's a common term for anything that's purple in variety like sticky rice), but a rare pinkish one is found in the mountains of Mindanao, we have some of it in our farm. 😊
they have some crazy yummy fruits down there in Mindanao it's mind blowing how your in the same country ... yet you can't grow the fruits of Mindinao say in Cebu or Bohol.... yum. Thanks for teaching the culture bro! much better than I am at it.

My wife is a Filipina from El Salvadore, Philippines which is between Opol and the Laguindingan International Airport. The last place in this video is called Moog by the locals. I was there in 2008 and again in 2009 before construction of the new international airport was completed. Even then, although it is a small place off the beaten track, there were quite a few people who went there. Nice video.

awesome... Chico is my favorite. I use to grew up in a house with a backyard full of fruit trees. I would climb up the star apple, hangout at the roof top and eat the ripe ones.Happy childhood until my father sold our house. Glad you like the fruits
