You're an excellent teacher. I have watched a dozen introductions to limits and none of them made any effort to give an overview of what the math is doing, explain their terms or explain what was happening. They just launch into math as if the viewer is supposed to know everything already (That's not an introduction).
Thanks for this. It shows real intelligence and forethought.

Math is a subject that stresses people out and your combination of calmness while explaining math in an easy way is perfect! Normally I need rewatch a math video 10x before I understand the concept, but with your video I barely need to rewatch them more than once. Please keep making more videos on college algebra and calculus. These free videos will pay you back. From here on out you can start your business by selling your content to schools.

    1) Your videos are amazing; I teach high school math and use them to brush up on skills for which I’m a little rusty. 2) Problem #4 you used expansion, but factoring would also work as the numerator (x+2)^2 - 4 is a difference of squares. Didn’t read all the other comments, sorry if it’s already been pointed out.

    • @patricedolenz4942

Since both methods work, it's a great opportunity to illustrate to students that there may be mroe than one correct way to solve a problem. My response to "that's not the way my teacher did it" has sometimes become "that's OK, as long as we both used correct math." LOL. BTW, agree on videos being excellent. I like the way she introduces a procedural process for dealing with limits.

HAHAH “You don’t have to like *MATH* but you can like my video”😂 gurl I subscribed!💜 thank you.
P.S. Is it weird that I can understand math by watching videos on YT 2x faster than having a math tutor in front of me?

it's just the fact that there is someone breathing down your neck as they watch you try to comprehend something. when you watch a video, you are chillin by yourself, you can finally relax so learning becomes easy.

tutors explain math to us as if they were NASA scientists. Plus, she is very calm and easy to understand so you can’t get mad at math and her.

No, it's not weird. Some teens are turning to TH-cam because they find that it's easier to understand something when they watch someone explain it visually. It also helps that they can pause and rewind a video if they don't understand it right away. It's more personal than reading a book, because you see them and what they're actually doing, and not just what they're writing.
