Part Two of Ken Block's Guide To Awesome Can-Am Riding Spots puts the wraps on an epic trip to Moab, Utah - with Can-Am and Monster Energy teammate Casey Currie - starting at the very top of Gold Bar Rim and working their way back down some of the roughest roads and rock crawling sections in all of Moab.
As a bonus, Ken Block and crew use the Can-Am Maverick X3 Max - a hitch mounted Alta Rack - and a couple of his rad Specialized mountain bikes for some epic mountain bike shuttle runs.

He grew up with generationl wealth
Was. He had the money but took too many risks. I survived a concussion and realized how delicate our brains are. What many athletes do today is nuts. They are made to perform like clowns and put on spectacles so other (kings) can profit off them. Yes, they like it but they are pushed to up the risk every year. Like Indian Air Seat Grab Back Flip. Come on now. Thrilling to watch- sure but one bad jump and they can die. They get all hyped up with R8DBull BS and social and sponsor support that they lose their fear. A handful will make it huge- the rest end up in wheelchairs. No thanks. I use to ride and I was good- but not crazy. I thought about competing but chose college. No regrets.

For anyone who wants to go to Moab, or any other offroad trails, please be respectful and stay on the trails and don't leave your garbage behind...
The government's job is to protect the land, which means protecting it from us, so when people don't use the land properly the government's only course of action is to shut down trails to prevent that...it's INCREDIBLY important that we all do our best to make sure that these trails stay open so that we can all come back to enjoy them...also, make sure you bring 1 gallon of water per person per day while out there, dehydration can kill you very quickly in Moab...

ABsolutely right but wayyy more. ive lived in moab almost 40 years; i came w a mt bike and stayed. Off road motor vehicles have changed A LOT !!! So has Moab: So has the world. From my pov, the rzr is by far the worst thing to have hit moab. Many moabians agree (unless they earn money from them). They are very noisy and crowds just are the antithisis of the wilderness quietude we love. Sandflats wreckreation area is a perfect example; its a sacrifice zone now, never quiet.
so if ur coming to moab, try to consider people who live here.

Probably cause of all the dust which tends to stick to most lubricants. There are special ones though that prevent it (silica based), but they're much more expensive than your standard grease.

I’m a local of moab just remember when it’s not dirt follow the tragic laws ... most of the roads you need to take to get to the trail run through residential zones so please remember we live here

Moab is such a playground, been mountain biking there since the 90s, before shuttling was a thing! The Whole Enchilada is a must, hours of non-stop descending, you start in an Aspen forest finish in the desert. Its a crazy epic.
Don't forget about the climbing involved for the WE

Awesome! I had no idea that Ken rode, it was cool to see him and the guys out on bikes. I've been out there from the East Coast twice to ride, my first trip there on our first day we rode Bull Run. Such an awesome area. We didn't shuttle, we rode all the way down and had to ride back up, was like an 1100 ft climb, LOL.
My second year there, toward the end of the trip I ate shit on the Whole Enchilada, about halfway down, and broke my hip. Luckily we were able to flag down a Jeeper on the trail who was nice enough to drive me back down off the mountain and to the hospital, LOL.
That was 2 years ago, I'm riding again, and I WILL get back to Moab!
Sure do miss this amazing dude.

I took my Yamaha Warrior there back in the day before UTV's existed and it was so much fun! I've also done been many times in my jeeps but I bet UTV'S are a blast there.
I met Ken Block at Bullfrog Lake Powell and took a photo with him back in 2017, he was awesome

Was talking to a friend who told me I should get a set of Rockzillas for my SxS. He said they were the best SxS tires ever. I asked him if he knew who Ken Block is. He said yep. I was just relating it to another situation where a youtuber was Re-bodying a modern mustang to look like the older one seen in this video, or just the older ones in general. Though since they were calling it "Elanor", the company who owns the rights to Gone In 60 Seconds had the legal right to take it away. I feel the same will happen with this car.

During this time of crisis, being inside a vehicle is the safest.
No base jumping? LOL I used to ride a mountain bike alot, been to Canyonlands Festival (1991), Slickrock Trail numerous times, Poison Spider, everyone else chickened out for the Portal Trail so I missed out. Rented a Jeep, which was capable, but these CanAms look like *the* machine to have, for an old man like me.
