  • विटामिन बी १२ की कमी से हाथ सुन्न पड़ जाना। विटामिन बी १२ की कमी के लक्षण और उपचार Vitamin B12 is a nutrient that helps keep the body’s nerve and blood cells healthy and helps make DNA, the genetic material in all cells. Vitamin B12 also helps prevent a type of anemia called megaloblastic anemia that makes people tired and weak.
    Two steps are required for the body to absorb vitamin B12 from food. First, hydrochloric acid in the stomach separates vitamin B12 from the protein to which vitamin B12 is attached in food. After this, vitamin B12 combines with a protein made by the stomach called intrinsic factor and is absorbed by the body. Some people have pernicious anemia, a condition in which they cannot make intrinsic factor. As a result, they have trouble absorbing vitamin B12 from all foods and dietary supplements.It is found naturally in a wide variety of animal foods and is added to some fortified foods. Plant foods have no vitamin B12 unless they are fortified. You can get recommended amounts of vitamin B12 by eating a variety of foods including the following:
    Beef liver and clams, which are the best sources of vitamin B12.
    Fish, meat, poultry, eggs, milk, and other dairy products, which also contain vitamin B12.
    Some breakfast cereals, nutritional yeasts and other food products that are fortified with vitamin B12. To find out if vitamin B12 has been added to a food product, check the product labels.

    Vitamin B-12 is important for brain function and the synthesis of red blood cells.
    Deficiency of vitamin B-12 can lead to neurological difficulties and anemia.
    People over the age of 14 should consume more than 2.4 micrograms (mcg) of vitamin B-12 daily.
    Vitamin B-12 is naturally available in meats, but people who do not eat meat, such as vegans, can obtain vitamin B-12 in supplement form.

    Very nice explanation sir your way of talking is excellent. Sir my problem is I am taking Famtac everyday for 2-3 yrs nd am an rheumatoid arthritis patient.     Hello sir , my Doctor (MS ortho) prescribed me tab.Etobus 60 for for 4 month 2 times in day , Tab. PPTROY for 4 months 2 times in day , Tab Megabol Forte for 9 months in evening , Cap. Altraday for 1 months in evening , cap.Ranitin 300mg for 1 month on evening ,
    They have told me this dose. Is it good to take this dose all these days? Will it have any side effects to my body?

    For a few days sometimes our hands and feet get tingling, pricking and numb. There was pain in the body. Taking calcium tablet (Calcium 500 mg + 500 IU) since 15 days Body pain relief I have been taking one tablet of Neurovian forte daily for five days. Even today I have felt a slight tingling in the hands and feet at night. please guide.

    Is there any relationship between Vit B12 and liver? I've b12 deficiency even though I'm non vegetarian. (Homocystine is normal). And the liver report is Indirect bilirubin 1.19, total is 1.39 and GGT is 67 which are beyond range. Is there any connection between the b12 and liver report. Last year I was having Acidity issues and doctor prescribed Pantocid & Refagut400. Also I have excess Vit K in test report. I'M NON ALCOHOLIC.

      Yes, when RBC breakdown early before normal period, it increase Bilurbin in blood cause jaundice and other due to low B12 level

      Spirulina lo B12 बढता है। सोयाबीन milk का curd बनाईये और बहुत सारा b12 मिल जाएगा।

      3. बीना छीलके उतारे गाजर, लौकी, का ज्युस
      4. कुए का पानी में बेक्टेरीया होते है जीन को पीने से B12 अपना शरीर बना लेता है।

    Sir i want to ask that i had vitamin b12 test and i am deficient of it … its only 159 so what should i do to rise it up asap … because all the factors you discussed like memory shortage , depression, restless nerves , anxiety, behaviour, headache (severe ) , swelling , also i have little rise in LDL also , blood level is decreasing, sleeplessness and many more from last three year i am suffering so badly please help me out what should i do how much amount i need to take of b12 i am 24 years old … i shall be so much thankful to you sir 😢🙏🏻

      Also i have gained so much weight and my Thyroid profile is good … i am not thyroid paitent also i have so much pain in whole body i was only 45 kg and now i am 70 and my cycle are regular but it comes only two days .. my half body stop functioning … i feel that i have no energy in my body to do any thing even to puck up my phone … and ants are walking under my skin so much more sir please help me out ..

      I don't think you have to worry so much about it first be positive and understand it that u have to raise it acc to your condition for initial you can take injection for initial boost and then rise it naturally if u r non veg eat b12 rich source other wise find another substitute don't panic u only can raise it by changing ur diet hope it will help

      No need to worry..Increase VIT B12 food intake.. sock medium bowl of cooked rice in curd for 2 to 3 hrs.mix flack seeds (Alasi) dry chatney to this and consume daily in lunch. Sprouts, fish, mushrooms are good source of Vitamin B12. 1spoon apple cider vinegar in a glass of warm water 30 min. before lunch will increase B12 vit. absorbtion in your body. Hope this helps.. 🙏😊

    Very informative.i just want to ask a question that,vertigo attack is due to deficiency of b12? Recently I passed through ,doc ask for blood test ,it found severe deficiency of b12 n hemoglobin , V D too.started B12 injection 1/day for 5 days and onward alternate day.no symptom of motion seekness was in past before vertigo attack,i did fould so too.before that I was unknown about vertigo.i assume all that may be due to deficiency of B12 and D.pls throw some light.
    One more surprise, before vertigo attack, i have mild pain in my right leg calf muscle ,guessed it is scietica .but after starting medication for vertigo ,calf pain also disappeared.as soon as stoped vertin 16 ,mild pain again start can u tell something is there any other reason ?
    I agree ,i felt all that symptom due to b12 deficiency

      Yes...All these symptoms are related to b12 deficiency...It will take time to recover... Gradually all the symptoms will go away with medication and passage of time.

      That depends upon since how long you have been deficient and what are the symptoms...I had vertigo, weakness, shortness of breathing, rapid palpitation, unstability while walking, lack of concentration, brain fogging, tingling sensation in legs and hands etc...It's been four and half yrs. now that I have started feeling much better.

    Take neurobion fort tablet two time daily after meal or breakfast. Neurobion fort tablet is cheap but very effective.

    Hi doctor, my recent b12 test result is more than 2000 pg/mL
    But lab biological reference interval is 187 - 883 pg/ml .
    Will there be any problem if it's more?
