Hey Book Buddy, Regarding your critique i just wanna share my opinion, Marcus Aurelius was one of the greatest Emperors and Philosophera of his time and a Stoic pillar.
He achieved the epitome of worldly Success by becoming an emperor of the powerful Roman Empire and at the same time combated moral & inner dilemmas through Stoicism.
Kindly do a review of Meditations by Marcus Aurellius too.

If seen without comparison this is also one of the best ways of living a life !!
Iqbal’s resentment over stoicism is also right as he sees the life with new and modern specs and tries to bring the roots from the Quran !! (Individual reasoning)
Both the philosophies in my view have their own advantages & disadvantages and can be followed as per people’s own choice of how she / he wants to live their life !!
Iqbal philosophy is the demand of today’s life !
But stoicism is still relevant for those who have not gained a lot of modern education and want to live their life with the harmony of nature but has the courage to connect with the ultimate !!

There are points in Stoicism that we should adopt. 'Accepting the things which are not in our control.' And I also disagree with many things in Stoicism, as Book Buddy describes it. Stoicism is clearly telling us to live a natural life, be relaxed, and accept who you are. In some cases, I think we should accept what we are when things are not in our control. But this rule does not fit for everyone. In the end, you have to make your own rules, and we can learn from these philosophies only. Struggling, failing, trying again and again is part of life. 'Every day has new challenges: anxiety, depression.' We don't know what will happen after 5 minutes or tomorrow. Be flexible, keep trying, and accept the struggle as part of the process. Learn from the past and do your best to make your present good, and your future will be automatically perfect. Everybody has a different type of stress situation and mindset, so never compare yourself. Keep trying and hustling with what you have. You will fail again and again. After trying for 2 or 3 years, you will fail again. But always accept the failure and try again. Be happy, keep hustling. Allah bless you all. Thank you, Shahab Anjam.

I thought stoic philosphy about emotion like when you are give your to do something but this thing is not happen according to your desire then it is nature. Stoic said avoid it. I agree but a liitle bit and the reason is that I thought if you not get something after hardwork then niether become nor become emotionless but do more hardwork for next time and finally you will succeed.
