    I assume, but want to double check that once you remove the push clip cable and smaller cable at the rear of the negative terminal that the battery is disconnected, so safe to then do anything involving electrics.

      Yes, once you've got a bare negative battery terminal, the battery is disconnected and it's safe to work on the vehicle electrics.
