Im a Werder Bremen and same as Arsenal we won our last league title in 2004. Similar to you guys we beat our biggest rivals at that time Bayern Munich at their stadium to win the title. It was the best day of my life. It’s sad what happend to both clubs (I always had a soft spot for Arsenal)

Arsenal that season went unbeaten away with 14 PL away wins including away wins vs Man United & Liverpool who were the 2nd & 3rd best team that season. Arsenal also became the first team to score in every game & won the double which was secured at Old Trafford. A season often overlooked by 2003/04 invincible season.

Because Sky own the rights to that footage. Same with a lot of the season/goal compilation DVDs they used to make, it's all re-recorded commentary.

Man Utd fans should be sentenced to an eternity of watching the Wiltord goal and final whistle being blown in this match.
Yeah because this always got to ManUtd 😂😂😂😂😂 losing 1 out of 5 PL's from 1998/99 to 2002/03 oh how will they cope 🤦♂️ By doing the same thing again in 2006/07 to 2010/11 and again won an invincible ChampionsLeague in that period like the previous.
It would've been embarrassing for Arsenal if they'd lost the title yet again. They used to brag about how they were such a better footballing team. Even that year ManUtd scored way more than them 😂 ManUtd lost the game because Beckham was injured for the rest of the season because ManUtd were playing in a competition Arsenal fans might not be too familiar with called the 'champions league' when Deportivo were hacking him in both QF games eventually braking his metatarsal. Look at Arsenal's lineup they were really going for the win they only needed a draw and ManUtd may have got at least a draw if they didn't have to win. v.Nistelrooy didn't start this game, many players in the ManUtd starting lineup you'd wonder whether they cared at all about the result.
This May 2024 will be winning the league at old trafford again

I was in Cardiff for the cup final against Chelsea, we won I drank with 2 blokes that had a spear ticket 4 old Trafford game Wednesday night game we drove from Cardiff to there house stayed a night there and went on to Manchester what I can remember we were at old Trafford around 10am Wednesday morning still drunk from Sundays win ,It and always be the best week ever as a gunner fa cup winners then beating the champions in there own back garden what a week lads I love use who ever u were ,p.s I got back to dublin on Friday 7 days in heaven love that Friday till next Friday

That just means you're having a pop at ManUtd because you're a Liverpool fan.
ManUtd had won 5 of the previous 6 seasons with the only title lost in 97/98 when they were still the best team Arsenal needed 2 lucky wins vs an injury ridden ManUtd that season who still had far superior GD more goals quite a few less conceded as well and Arsenal nicked it as 2nd best team by getting 1 more draw than ManUtd who had some freak losses but no comprehensive defeats where as Arsenal did have quite a few comprehensive defeats.
But even in 2001/02 which Arsenal had to win to start justifying themselves as ManUtd's biggest threat because they only had that 1 season 97/98 where Blackburn & even Newcastle had caused ManUtd more problems than Arsenal had in PL era before 2001/02 but also ManUtd scored loads even in 01/02 I think more than Arsenal plus ManUtd reached ChampionsLeague semi-finals (something Vieira couldn't achieve in his whole career for any club) Arsenal 2nd group phase exit which was pretty standard for Arsenal back then so yeah no reason to think Arsenal were any better to watch than ManUtd. Let's not forget 1 year before this ManUtd 3-peated with their 2nd consecutive title won at a canter and had beaten Arsenal 6-1 so yeah Arsenal really needed to achieve something for once with all their world cup winners but as great as they thought they were Arsenal failed yet again to retain the title ManUtd won 2002/03 despite Thierry Henry scoring 2 offside goals against ManUtd.
