i personally prefer most mercedes models over bmw but here there is no DEBATE. M340i is best and reaslistically the only car to buy in this segment. If u want to spend 1.2 cr on a car, there are better options to invest in than in a fake 4 cylinder.

Downsizing or not, fact is it doesn't matter in our country mate, usually people buys it for social status and prestigious symbol that it gives to them and they do not see whether it is 4 or 6 cylinder engine, all that matters is it's ' MERCEDES '.
And then there's the m340i
No u r wrong people buy the standard c class glc or any other just for status symbol but when it comes to the performance oriented segment like AMG M competition RS performance those are purchased by enthusiast and they do care about engines cause I have not seen a mla builder uncle buying a c63 or e63 they go for gle or e class

People who buy such cars for social status are also very particular about engine size. When they put so much and buy this car, and someone comes parks next to them with a 20 - 30 lakh cheaper car with a bigger 6 cylinder engine. It will destroy their social status lol.

The audi s5 is totally slept on in this segment. Almost as fast as the m340i but far better looking and much more comfortable. S5 and m340i are mucu better propositions vs the c43

I think pay little more and buy E53 is better than current c43 imo .Other wise buy M340i or s5 which cost far less than this .But compared to current c63 I thing C43 makes more sense becuse C43 weighs lighter If battery fail in C63 you have to carry C63 weight with C43 power .

Bro, the E53 and E63 that you made a vlog on are discontinued in India.
C43 was a bit of a shame, lasted 4 months before selling it back to merc, overpriced for what it can really do, looks incredible drives well but alot of gremlins and the sound is terrible and compared to the cla 45 its slower much slower for so much more
I m paying 10-15 lakh extra if i buy this
Because 30 lakhs extra it can justify 15-20 lakh for extra featurs and much more premiumness of look and feel
So ya in premium car market i don't mind paying that extra if the car looks like this in red colour
Specially bmw m340i isn't look good in red colour

M340i is the best but the problem which M340i is its ecu is still locked
there are people who have unlocked their ecu, its not impossible to unlock the ecu but yeah its hard and complex, but after u unlock it, tuning the m340i is gonna give much better results than the c43 bcoz of 2 more cylinders and the b58 engine being tuner friendly(some ppl push 1000+ hp with that engine)
I guess the only good AMG on sale right now is the 2024 AMG GT, which is yet to come to India.

BMW M340i is not only cheap and faster than the Mercedes C43AMG, but also as far as i remember the BMW is performing better than Mercedes with a Torque Converter. Let that sink in!! The Torque converter is also best for Indian traffic because it won’t have the possibility of having reliability issues that usually the DCT has because of the “start stop indian traffic”.

@@HarshDangar-br5zeBMW also has great after sales services plus I had a better dealership experience with bmw compared to merc but it also depends on the dealership so not a valid comparison but overall I feel like merc is losing its charm in India as well as the global market and it's not providing the premium feel that it used to before, now it's just cheap plastics and screens for them

I don't know if it is present in m340i or not but both are similar cars so may be it can be there as well
Mercedes c class c300d i have driven and i can say it feels very premium and elegant cabin
Plastics are there but nothing like rattling
Specially steering wheel it feels like so elegant so beautiful just looking like a wow
Ac vents also feel premium and ambient lighting enhances your experience to next level

To be honest…India’s luxury car market is on nuts specially MERCEDES, LAND ROVERS, And Indian fav FORTUNER.
Like come on yaar all the car makers have increased their prices to 30-50% including that we don’t get proper enthusiastic 6 cylinder, V6 or V8 even at these price companies are removing many features just for example RR SPORTS …earlier that dual screen thing was giving the charm of Range Rovers but now price have gone through roofs with a NO button and a single screen.
Right now for SUVs i guess Indian car manufacturers make more sense atleast they are providing way for features and decent engines(tata hyundai and the GOAT XUV700 petrol and diesel)…but still not 4*4
