My mother grabbed the lock from my stepdad hands and threw it into the river. The fight was over but the romantic was gone for a week. They made the same trip again, one year later. Again with a lock. This time they changed it on the bridge in perfect harmony. 😂❤
FYI, apparently it’s a really bad idea to actually do the whole “lock on a bridge” thing. They combined weight of the locks can warp the bridge rails, and the metal of the keys can poison the river. There was famously legislation passed in France in Paris (there’s a particularly popular old bridge for this there, dubbed the “Bridge of Locks”) because of these issues, so that now you can actually be fined for putting your lock on the bridge (the city has kindly put up some posts for you to put it on instead).
This sounds like a plot in romance movies, didn’t know its a real thing and sounds rather pointless to throw away the key and not good for wildlife that could come along and eat the key.🥴🥴
Not at all. It's a healthy relationship where either person could say "this isn't working for me" and if a solution couldn't be found an amicable split is possible. That's my interpretation anyway.
