I really enjoyed the Before The Storm episode. I was worried when Dontnod weren't doing it. But Deck Nine have done a good job so far.... But I have to say DAMN DECK NINE... I've already fallen in love with Rachel Amber and that sucks because I already know how Rachel Amber story ends thanks to the events of Life is Strange.
Yeah, I thought they'd have real trouble showing us something that lived up to the hype from the first game, but no, the Rachel we see really is awesome enough that you can see why Chloe is so obsessed with her... while at the same time being just as messed up as everyone else in Arcadia Bay.
Daniel Björkman I mean Rachel would need to be someone incredibly special to influence Chloe like she did, from the original Life is Strange we know she was strong, amazing, beautiful in mind body and soul.... all this we know without even meeting her and writing a character like that is so difficult and Deck Nine has written her really well so far, I can understand how she meant so much to Chloe.
I've only seen a play through of Life Is Strange but I still plan on getting Before The Storm, also in high school I went back and forth between Chloe and Max
Downloaded it this morning. It's pretty good, as far as I've had time to play it. I don't really miss the time travel, though I do kind of miss Max as a protagonist. Part of the fun of LiS was playing a character who's as painfully uncool and rhythm-free as I am. :D
Gaige the Mechromancer from Borderlands 2 was also pretty badass. A 16 year old who cut her own arm off to build a death robot summoning arm. All I did for the science fair was build a space model.

It's basically the use of excessive risk to hunt for special moments....and a lot of those risks will go the wrong way.
