I can appreciate the sentimental affection foryou have for this car. My mother's was three years out of nursing school when she bought her first car. It was a 1967 Ford Galaxie 500 fastback. She was from Chattanooga but moved to the hills of Eastern Kentucky for her first nursing job. In 68 or 9, she took a job in Orlando, FL. By 71, she had moved to Los Angelas, CA. She drove that 67 from one end of Interstate 10 to the other. That car made three trips across the country between LA and Chattanooga. Then in 72 she returned to Kentucky to the same hospital she first worked at again. During this trip it was a permanent move since she and my dad got married and I came along in 75. As for the 67, it was the family car till it was replaced in 76. But she kept the car till the late 90s when she sold it. It had been parked for almost 20 years but the new owner got it back on the road for a short time until he totaled it. It was white with blue interior and a 390 V8. My father passed at the end of 2002 and my mother passed in 2013. Anytime I see a Galaxie or Fairlane for that matter from that era, I have to stop and take a look.

Your channel warms my heart. My daddy has been gone 10 years. He was my best friend and supporter. I know you cherish these times. It shows through. I remember the day my dad drove home a 67 Galaxy. Until that time it was the cleanest, newest car he had ever been able to buy. Keep doing what you're doing and hello from Oklahoma.

Lost dad to lung caner back in 2003. I still remember my time with him. Cherish every moment you have with your Dad and I know you do Pastor Dave.

Nice old Galaxie---back in 1969, my brother bought a 1966 Galaxie 2 door hardtop, it had the 289v8, automatic, power steering. The color was tan outside with a beige interior. It was a very good car, also made good gas mileage. I love those old Ford's. I have a 1967 Galaxie 4 door sedan, it has the 390v8 and only 25,000 miles. It is a gold lime green color. Not olive green. I bought it from a retired minister, that lived close to Sioux Falls SD. The car was bought new from Hall Ford, Sioux City Iowa. The car was made at the Ford factory plant in St. Paul MN.. Bought the car about 15 years ago. Keep up the good work!

I'm pretty much come to the conclusion the Galaxie is off the table for purchase anytime soon.
Here is a little backyard mechanic tip, park the car on a large tarp, makes finding dropped small parts and tools easy peasy. Keeps unwanted liquids from leaching in the ground as well, plus makes a clean place to crawl around underneath when needed. Fantastic job Gents.

My dad had his old 97 F250 7.5L/460 gas saver sitting in the field he wasn’t using anymore... so I paid him for it. Back in my younger days I used to help a friend deliver......um.......liquid refreshment. I had a 72 Datsun truck and the haul was too big for it to handle. We instead loaded me up with a bed full of topped off Mason jars. Well, I hauled out of there knowing the sheriff was waiting for us. I took off past their cars kicking up dust and gravel. After a few miles the whole bunch finally caught up with me. I stopped expecting to get the full treatment. They rolled up I was leaning on the car waiting for them. The sheriff put the cuffs on me and I practically walked myself to the patrol car. The wrecker had rolled up getting ready to impound it when there was a commotion at the back of my truck! Those boys were opening jar after jar. They all seemed real disappointed when they realized that all those jars had the best spring water middle Tennessee could provide. The sheriff came to the car and as I was getting out asked if hauling water was a problem. He muttered something kinda nasty and removed the cuffs. You see while they were chasing me my friend was going the other way in an old U- Haul truck. When I left the tow truck driver was asking who.was going to pay the bill....

Terry, great shiner story.. I have heard a few myself.. There was a shop set up in the woods that the sheriffs came by to tax rather often... price of doing business I assume.

I definitely like watching videos on your Ole Man's 65 Galaxie because it reminds me and my Ole Man's 65 Galaxie except ours was a deep blue 4-door 390 big block car with a hefty glasspack sound. I would love to see more videos on it, cleaned, and detailed up instead of sitting back in the woods. Rev its definitely a nice car to be a daily cruiser.

Had me laughing pretty good watching you two work together. I remember doing the same stuff working with my old Boot back a bit. Too funny the hand coming in over the brake drum pointing at something as if you didn't know it was there lmao Too funny for sure. Love it! Well done. Would love to see this old girl rollin' and Rumblin' down the road again. I really hope the two of you get her in the Garage and have some more fun bringing her back to a single colour and a fresh outlook on the road :-) Keep up the good work Rev & your Daddy. Love it! You should look into investing in a boat tank for a temporary gas tank with a clicky clack pump for help moving fuel to carburetor. Just a thought.
