I agree it's an absolute sh¦tshow in Pugs. I'd say it's about 50/50 chance the key will be bricked and/or disbanded. I've ran it many times trying to get the sacbrood trinket to drop. 50% chance of wasting 30 minutes of your time is not worth it. I think I'm going to buy a boost for just that dungeon then never touch it again and just hope I get the trinket in the vault. If you thought it was bad on fortified just think about how bad it will be on tyrannical 😖
Prot Pally made the last fight pretty trivial. I can cleanse the poison thing, spellward someone if they miss their root, DS myself if I miss it, divine toll to break most roots as soon as it ends, double freedom someone else with me, etc.
18:50 I just bricked 3 keys m12 because I can’t get out of the circles as a Druid. I tried shape shifting and lived twice but that was so risky and I can’t do it consistently. Do I just reroll to warrior or paladin?
It's definitely the hardest on druid out of any tank, typhoon + shift can help you on one set but then otherwise it can be nice to have a priest/evoker/paladin/monk in the group and ask them to help you on those pulls.
Are you working on one of these for City of Threads? It's the only dungeon it seems like you are missing from the playlist so I was just curious. Thanks so much for these, they've been amazing!
Glad you enjoy the guides! Unfortunately I've been insanely unlucky and haven't gotten a City of Threads key, we had one in the first week pre-nerf that went as well as you would expect, but otherwise haven't seen it on a +10 yet. As soon as I do get one though I will post ASAP!
Correct, also any kind of leaps or disengages also work, but those are a bit trickier as you need to make sure you wait until the very last second to use them otherwise you still get pulled in.
I do it in travel form, swapping to bear once you get towards the web bridge and using stampeding roar/charge to move quickly through that area to the mini boss. If you need you can pop barkskin at the start while in travel form, which also helps a bit with threat if you're running the Brambles talent.
Dude I’m really struggling doing the final route of going down side of boss room instead of mid. I get perma slowed and die as Druid and I’m thinking ima stick to mid and just use bloodlust to kill big scarab in time
Yeah I think especially for keys up til +12s going down the middle is actually totally fine, even without bloodlust. That big guy doesn't start getting scary until higher key levels.
@@Tactyks okay I just did a 9 down middle and yep totally fine. I don’t think I’ll be going past m10s because I want to keep my sanity but yeah thanks man!
Knock into charge can be hit or miss depending on where circles spawn, sometimes if you have melee dps the knock doesn't push those mobs far enough away, so circles can spawn on or near them.
@@Tactyks yeah for sure man. Oh dude I meant to thank you for the tanking advice the other day. My m+ group said I was doing way better and the healer was asking me how I improved so much lol you helped me so much
For the first few packs I think it's nice to be travel form because they dont hit too hard and it makes the start of the grouping a lot faster, but if you're worried about threat/dying you can do it bear form its just a bit slower.
Iam playing Druid (EC) and i have some issues with the trash that slows in the last boss area. Any tips? Should i switch the route to the trash in the middle of the area (big boy and 2 caster) or should i play slow and just pull 2 of these drones at any give time? Dont want to f*ck this up by dying every time in pugs... :/
I'd recommend slowing it down a bit, so only pull 2 of the slowing guys into the first pull, then do a second pull with 4 slowing guys alone, then you have the last pull with the double caster and remaining mobs. As a bear it's tough, can be useful to try and always pickup a paladin, evoker, or monk in your group and ask them to freedom/rescue you there, otherwise the best option is to drop an ursols down behind the pack, typhoon when the webs start, then cat shift to escape while the little guys are out of range and the casters are casting. Risky but the only real option unfortunately.
Sprint isn't enough unfortunately, think of it like the boss death grips you just before the explosion, so you can shadowstep after the big pull in effect and that would save you but you can't just outrun it.
Yeah, though to be fair I think the middle path is totally fine for +10 keys, the scarab guy just has some nasty scaling so I expect him to be avoided on higher keys.
17:50 If you're a highmountain tauren druid/tank you can also use your Bull Rush racial to get out of the swirlys even when slowed by 100%. Just be careful not to charge into anything you did not mean to pull
Do you know if bull rush works on the SUCC for the boss? My worst nightmare in pugs is when I need to get to a puddle, and everyone is also using them. If I happen to choose the wrong direction and someone else takes the puddle, ggwp. Most of the time I just try to save my survival instinct charges and tank it xD
Paladins are perfectly capable of doing +10 keys, hell they're even using one in the RWF. Besides, even if they aren't getting invites it doesn't mean there aren't Ppals out there making their own groups!
In 9-11 range what’s going to brick your key isn’t the tank dying. It’s people failing to interrupt casts or failing mechanics. Paladins are often cheese mode for both those problems. An aware prot pally can make a key almost trivial and the healer will be able to keep them alive because they won’t be covering other people’s damage as much. Don’t be a meta slave in 10s
Most guide just tells about the abilities and not how to avoid it. So thank you for diving in deeper
No problem at all, glad you found it useful!
Just timed a 10 City of Echoes last night, and I was pleasantly surprised we even killed last boss. 😂 Amazing video, thank you Tactyks!
Congrats! Glad you enjoyed the video.

That last boss is a pug killer. Just did a +6 completely fine and all of a sudden we bricked the key because people didnt understand the last boss

Yeah it's a tough one for sure, hoping it gets a bit better over the next couple weeks as people start to understand it better but we'll have to see.
Its because they dont realise you can target your blood boil and kick it when youre snared. They just sit there trying to attack it.

@tactykz can you please make a dedicated guide for mythic plus directed specifically towards tanks. Like how to tank each boss, etc.

The second boss's frontal right after the charge always targets the charged person, at least in my experience as the healer.
Yeah seems the behaviour was changed since beta, where it continued to target the tank.
