Well agreed, that's the more reason I prefer my day to day mkt decisions being guided by a invt-coach, seeing that their entire skillset is built around going long and short term, at the same time laying off risk as a hedge against inevitable downturns, coupled with the exclusive information & analysis they get, it's near impossible to not out-perform. To reduce the potential hazards associated with an investment in light of the current market conditions. It is advisable to consider maintaining a diversified portfolio across various asset categories, in accordance with one's personal risk tolerance, investment horizon, and financial goals. It is important to consider that diversity can serve as a tactic to effectively manage investment risk. The potential for incurring losses due to a decline in the value of securities remains present despite this circumstance. Investment can be a challenging process. For individuals who are initiating the process of amassing wealth, it may be beneficial to contemplate collaborating with a financial advisor to provide guidance throughout the journey.. my opinion though.

Well said. I look at other people stock pick and if I can find value and see a future in the company I'll buy a small stake to see how it performs while also researching what I can into the company. I like to buy stocks that I believe will innovate and still be around 20+ years from now. Tattooed chef never caught my eye because I know while being Vegan is cool because of the animals it is also extremely unhealthy. I looked at the calories and nutrient content on some of their plant based beef product and it has way more fat that I would want to consume in a whole day. No thanks. Also it's expensive food because of the niche. No one is vegan when they are starving to death. Nope not my play.

Jeremy, I have been watching your videos for a couple years. I knew tattoo chef wasn't something I was going to buy because it was too new and speculative in a market with serious competition and extremely thin margins with many variable costs and an unproven team. I feel bad for your loss, everyone has their baby that one day might get to see the day of light but this was over the line. I'm not saying you did anything wrong as an investor but why did you not hedge your position? It was a huge position for a small-micro cap. I have recently started to learn different ways to hedge my dividend portfolio and I can sleep well at night. Hopefully you learned something and now that your not preoccupied by that failed position, I'm excited to see what you buy next. Much of what you buy is very trend heavy which works in aggregate but please I hope your hedging your 24mil worth of positions, real-estate etc. I'm not sure of your net worth or overall position but I think you need to get into possibly a business partnership rather than investing via market and have a decent fixed yield from tbills for 15-20% of your allocation. I'm nowhere near your level but just my 2 cents. Good luck out there it's a jungle. ❤

Now, meat does the same thing, like, I know someone who was having colon issues and the doctor flat out said "Avoid Bacon & lay off the steak) but yeah, a lot of us just moved on to Organic Nuts to get our protein. Surprised you would close your positions. Obviously the future for the stock is bleak, but being down so heavily (~90%?), surely you've lost so much that you might as well just ride it out until boom or bust? That's my strategy anyhow. Perhaps the difference between us is that you simply had a lot more cash in the stock, so closing the position now still gives you a decent amount of capital to work with and deploy elsewhere. Me doing so would give me such an insignificant amount, that I don't see the value in doing so.

    Buying calls.
Jk jk, but what's the point of selling now? I mean... What did you have left like 70k from it? For you 70k is pocket change, like my $350 in it is for me (used to be $6k). Last reported they had 14mil cash, and no debt. Who is to say they won't luck out and someone will loan them 50mil and they'll start selling meat, and sell whatever they have to at a price to be hardly profitable. And give it 5-10 years and they might slowly see some success. Also trends go in waves. Plant based is at a low right now, but that is not to say it will not boom again. It is not dead, I still often eat plant based and know a lot of people that do. Mannnnnn might as well let this one ride. What about their business making food for other companies? Do they get no profits from that and could they not shift to doing more of that for a bit to generate some cash?

@@guyclass7661 It's a given that even though you pay someone to tell you to buy something, you are choosing to follow. I understand your point of view though. However, even if you were to pay someone a million dollars to tell you which stock to buy, if you put all your money on that one stock and that person is wrong, which is a 50/50 chance, you're simply gambling your money and cannot blame anyone else but yourself for not fully learning and understanding the multitude of things needed to know before investing/trading. Everything depends on what your method is and if you are a long term investor, a swing trader, a day trader, etc, etc. You ultimately decide what you are doing with your money. Personally, I never paid to be a member of any group or YT channel etc., I took several years learning about it all before doing it and even though I outperformed the market big time, I still made some bad choices and Jeremy is not the allpowerful god of stock picking either, we will all have losses in our investing lifetimes...I still lost a lot of money over the last two+ years because regardless of how good one can be in selecting stocks and diversifying portfolios, the market is rotten since Feb 2021. That will change over time, but no one individual knows when nor which stocks will make it until that happens either. That stock was only one of many he chose to invest in. Sorry if you are left with a loss or bag holding, I have dozens like that too. Diversify...
