I am trying to set up my alerts and chat on my overlay but, although it's all properly set up in OBS and emulating alerts works perfectly fine, real alerts don't seem to, and chat doesn't work at all. Any ideas?

Google searches, tbh. You can find sfx for basically anything typically with download links
this a really good tutorial and it very precise but am still having trouble the chat is not showing up even when I went through the video it not showing it doing my head in

googling sound effects I like and downloading them
So I'm in stream elements, and every time i try to upload a video to the sub alerts, it doesn't show up, if i add an audio to the alert, it doesn't play, all it does is play the default ones. I'm so confused, I'm following every tutorial i see to the T and nothing is working. Help???
