that night, on the 5th of July 2014, when it was announced from the stage - after the rolling stones had just finished their show - that jack white would be taking over drake's time slot, remains one of the most hype and memorable moments of my life to this day. there with my brother and one of my very best friends. all huge fans of the white stripes' and jack white's discographies as were - having started our own band "careers" in high school doing cover versions of the hardest button to button and seven nation army. needless to say we saw this concert from the _frontest_ row, of the _front-most_ pit.
When my boys were young they go to my car and take my Jack White and white stripes C d's and said there really use them and bring them back they never brought him back I bought each sick deaton each white stripe and Jack White stuff at least 3 times because they were always forget him or lose Them. So I had to buy white stripes and Jack White stuff like 3 × 2 keep him in my car so I can drive with it I love them everything They do. they're awesome.thay are favorite artists Jack is a all I need.
mvhsm Thanks! ...and yeah! It was a hell of a replacement! I would not pay a penny to see Drake. That was like: "well guys, we can't have Mcdonalds for dinner tonight, but lets have this fillet mignon instead!"
Jack White should be shared with bands like Led Zeppelin, Jim Morrison, The Rolling Stones and is part of the elite. Already slated as one of the best guitarist at 37 years old. Jack is not a druggy. I see he likes his wine and a little booze. This guy takes music very seriously and I am on that ride with him forever. If your not, then don't pay your hard earned money on his music. One thing I promise...Someday day it will click and you will see just how great of a musician he really is. Lilly Mae Rische (sister/violenist...love love ya) His talented band....THANK you for the shows and memories this summer.
he's not close to the league of Zeppelin, Doors, Hendrix etc, forget it. He's got some cute songs here and there and he's got some cool fuzz tones, but that's it. Calm down
Never been happier. Just heard Rolling Stones at the orange stage. Then I heard that Drake had been replaced by my biggest idol Jack White. WAUW just WAUW. I will never forget this concert.

I love this guy!!!! He's soooo good, and kinda wild, and so uniquely talented. He has this primal energy, borderline out of control, like you sometimes just want to explode inside listening to him! Amazing charisma. I was raised on Led Zeppelin and Pink Floyd and those guys so I know good rock/ blues, and this guy is amazing!
He's playing HARD, but still behind the beat in this offering. I've seen other videos where he took off like a drag racer and ruined the song. The mark of a good drummer is not only technique, but restraint. He's got it in this performance. Nice job.
Jack's voice is delightful, it spreads out a vent of emotions and it seizes your mind, indeed. It downright features the main key every artist should hold: he's damn skilled to manage so many projects all at the same time and he never gets tired, bloodily. Several people say he's a genius and I want to rate this opinion because I feel pretty relaxed whenever I listen to this hot and bright voice. It's because of a personal thought but Jack White takes me wherever I need to go: if I'm depressed I find out there's a song to put off my dissatisfaction and to cheer myself up; when I feel joyful I can pick a song I get the power from and this increases my craziness; when I feel nervous I need to chill out and Jack still suits my trouble by wiping out the things I'm furious for.
One word to describe this performance: primal. This is incredible. So much more intense and engaging than his studio albums. I can't wait to see him next time he comes my way, this is amazing.
Thoroughly enjoyed this and, as a fan of the Mars Volta, I was pleasantly surprised to see Ikey on keyboards. "Blunderbuss" is my favorite album of recent years, and the new one is almost as good. Jack is the man.
Man it was amazing. Even better than 2012. They replaced Drake with Jack White hahaha. Best upgrade ever! Ohyeah a big fuck off to all the people that went home early and didnt watch this concert! One of the best concerts this year at Roskilde Festival.
Positively one of the most insane things I've ever heard and seen. This is just too much to take in all at once and yet I still want more of it every passing second
This is one the best JW concerts ever! This is before he got the idea to create two different bands. Who does that? Only JW! He is brilliant and I’m hearing strains of country music in this mix with the lap steel and the violin 🎻 and it all works and blends together well. First, he practically kept rock alive with the WS for 10 years from 1999 to 2009! And now he’s saving the music business in general from going under completely. His music and band create live excitement that I haven’t seen or heard in years! Not since Nirvana and that was over once Kurt Died In 1994. RIP
Jason Craig My understanding is he said it because of the weak crowd participation in singing his line just before. It was the last (big) concert of the festival and most people was a bit spent after a eight days & nights of partying :)
Saw the deadweather. Small venue. I got to hang with the roadie that was mixing sound and lights. That guy was like a concert pianist. The organ was deep purple
Of course the music is innovative, precise, diverse and just damn good!!! Jack White is most disparate, experimental, meticulous, original musician/performer of this generation!...
Jack is a creative genius like Frank Zappa was and he throws everything at you but it all comes together.Just really started listening to his stuff he has an amazing energy that just makes you feel good.

I just love all he dose. He makes me happy!
Jack White is a TRUE Artist who’s music will play until the end of time!
Bless you for sharing this memory…
"You've been incredible, and I've been Jack White"
Same thing
One thing I've always loved about Jack White is his style on stage, he just looks good performing.
I so agree. It was made for him.
BEST. REPLACEMENT. EVER!!
I cant like your comment enough times.
I didn't understand this comment. Can you explain please?
Kaltrishpr Drake was supposed to be that night's headlining act, but he cancelled due to being sick. So Jack filled in for him.
mvhsm Thanks! ...and yeah! It was a hell of a replacement! I would not pay a penny to see Drake. That was like: "well guys, we can't have Mcdonalds for dinner tonight, but lets have this fillet mignon instead!"
Kaltrishpr Haha that is a great analogy!
Jack White should be shared with bands like Led Zeppelin, Jim Morrison, The Rolling Stones and is part of the elite. Already slated as one of the best guitarist at 37 years old.

Davis Mason he joined Robert plant in lollapalooza argentina to play The Lemon Song
he's not close to the league of Zeppelin, Doors, Hendrix etc, forget it. He's got some cute songs here and there and he's got some cool fuzz tones, but that's it. Calm down
Jaaaaaaa
Never has man such embraced quarter notes as the likes of Jack White.
he's a genius, one of the last ones, he's not from these times
Word.
Right on.
not doubting you, just wondering what stands out to you to call him a genius ?
i think 4 years ago or sometime recently, rolling stone magazine called jack white the john lennon of our generation
tommy k Как же вы заебали , нытики
The backing band... fuck they`re beautiful. Such good musicians with taste and groove. Tasty jams. They are damn perfect
Never been happier. Just heard Rolling Stones at the orange stage. Then I heard that Drake had been replaced by my biggest idol Jack White. WAUW just WAUW. I will never forget this concert.
As always love all be dose!
They wanted the classic seven nation army so bad that he had to put a twist on it. Classic jack.

Nick Walling Thank you very much!
Nick Walling Thanks for this, mate
YES!! Thanks man
One of the best rock shows Ive seen.
We live for people like you
an hour and a half felt like 20 min the man is so good
That drummer is a beast. I remember seeing them on this tour, several years back, and I found myself regularly watching the drummer more than Jack.
I love this guy!!!! He's soooo good, and kinda wild, and so uniquely talented. He has this primal energy, borderline out of control, like you sometimes just want to explode inside listening to him! Amazing charisma. I was raised on Led Zeppelin and Pink Floyd and those guys so I know good rock/ blues, and this guy is amazing!
that guy plays those drums as if it had said something nasty about his mother
i love this comment so much
You dont just play the drums you beat the shit out of them
He's playing HARD, but still behind the beat in this offering. I've seen other videos where he took off like a drag racer and ruined the song. The mark of a good drummer is not only technique, but restraint. He's got it in this performance. Nice job.
That guy is Daru Jones. He is... what can only be described as.. "The Man."
Colin Briber pocket for days
It's amazing that Jack and Meg made this much music all by themselves and made it rock harder.
So many musicians.. but no matter how loud they can't drown out the silence of Meg.
CapAnson12345 damn
+CapAnson12345 That's deep and true.
Jack can make me feel better. Love that he doesn't have a set list!Jack alway able to give you a different set of songs.
I have liked him the first time I heard him!
one of the best concerts i ever been to honest to god.
Jack's voice is delightful, it spreads out a vent of emotions and it seizes your mind, indeed. It downright features the main key every artist should hold: he's damn skilled to manage so many projects all at the same time and he never gets tired, bloodily. He is meditation. In whatever form necessary..

Jack is a genius and his band is just amazing.
He's so special.
The smoke effect during just one drink! God it's like they're playing to be heard in a fucking hurricane. Love love love this
26:13 Pianist 'What's he doing'
"Would you fight for my love?" Live finally! Great set.
The best live band of 2014
So much energy and plays a bad guitar. I love Jack White and his band here, are the best I have heard him with . Keep keeping on. You guys ROCK.💗💗💗
Look at all the fucking swagger, how can one man be so fucking cool? He embodies the spirit of rock.
LOL @ 26:10. Ikey was like "What's going on Jack? I was killing the keys right there!" RIP
Just love everything about him .He makes me feel happy!
I love that he wears make up on stage. Jack looks wander ful in it! It makes him more good locking. And he is so very good lucking
One word to describe this performance: primal. This is incredible. So much more intense and engaging than his studio albums. I can't wait to see him next time he comes my way, this is amazing.
He is so amazing. ♥️

MAAAAaaaann! His concert versions of this songs are 🔥
Thoroughly enjoyed this and, as a fan of the Mars Volta, I was pleasantly surprised to see Ikey on keyboards. "Blunderbuss" is my favorite album of recent years, and the new one is almost as good. Jack is the man.
Such a shame he's gone.
My favourite muxical festval combined with my favourite guitarist. Yay!!! It doesn't get better than this.
Jacki !!! No words, You are the BEST!!!
What a fucking hype performance! Incredibly rocking close with Steady and Seven Nation Army. God love Jack White for Rocking.
RIP IKEY. Dude we totally miss you
Wonderful!!!!!
No one else can do what he does, these days. He's the only current, true "rock star". What a show, damn.
Lmao yeah sure
Rachel Haytsidt
Two words:
Mike Kerr
No, not at all true...
Best replacement ever. No shit this is one of the best concerts ive ever been to.
This is one the best JW concerts ever! This is before he got the idea to create two different bands. Who does that? Only JW! He is brilliant and I’m hearing strains of country music in this mix with the lap steel and the violin 🎻 and it all works and blends together well.

His music and band create live excitement that I haven’t seen or heard in years! Not since Nirvana and that was over once Kurt Died In 1994. RIP
You're forgetting some very important bands, most notably probably The Foos
He’s unbelievable
Rest In Peace Isaiah Ikey Owens....

Great musicians! Great band! LOVE THEM ALL!!!

Great gig indeed
Great jack.
They really should have had mics for the crowd. It was awesome as a crowd
amazing ❤️
Wow! This was so awesome!
Jack is the best at everything!
34:15 : "Alright ... you speak english right?" haha !
Hahah 34:15 is the best - "You speak English, right? Hahaha, I barely do". I laughed so hard at this at the concert!
I don't know why he said that
Jason Craig My understanding is he said it because of the weak crowd participation in singing his line just before. It was the last (big) concert of the festival and most people was a bit spent after a eight days & nights of partying :)
He absolutely slayed catfish blues!
Mañana sabado 14 de marzo del 2015 Jack se presentara en el festival Lollapalooza Chile. Muy altas lmis expectativas por este show :D
Bit in love with the violinist...
Very in love. Man she's got this majestic satanic charm that weakens me.
33:05 I just love this calm bit, especially the organ sounds
Saw the deadweather. Small venue. I got to hang with the roadie that was mixing sound and lights. That guy was like a concert pianist. The organ was deep purple
This is so great. very similar to his detroit set minus like an hours worth of songs but one of his better festival sets posted on youtube
Of course the music is innovative, precise, diverse and just damn good!!! Jack White is most disparate, experimental, meticulous, original musician/performer of this generation!...
This is such a f’ing awesome show. Would have loved to have been there. Badass.
love him
He's a genious - no more, no less
What more can I say
Jack White every thing he does.
Good Lawd! Jack is a genius and one bad mother ...
28:45 - Catfish Blues
34:15 - the crowd wheren't really ready for a sing a long. Nicely saved though!
And yeah the crowd is a bit lazy at times but you cant blame them. The festival is an 8 day 24/7 party so people are a bit worn out the last day.
Mattias Svensson and it’s in Denmark
fabulous!
Love I want love
Jack is a creative genius like Frank Zappa was and he throws everything at you but it all comes together.Just really started listening to his stuff he has an amazing energy that just makes you feel good.
