Hiking in 10ft + of Snow | Surviving Mt. Marcy

- Climbing the highest peak in the Adirondacks during a winter storm - Three times height of the World Trade Center - & I'm afraid of heights.
Why did I start hiking? To put it quite simply, whenever a voice inside me says I can't do something - I have to try it.
This was my second attempt climbing Mount Marcy - the highest point in New York, with an elevation of 5,344 feet. My first failed attempt was solo in Nov of 2021, when conditions were too severe. www.newyorkupstate.com/outdoo...
We climbed the third weekend of March 2022. Snow accumulated to depths that had us walking amongst tree tops. Upon reaching the first of three false summits, a storm arrived with 50+ mph winds. This hike pushed me past limits that now feel like new. No hike goes as planned, but with each experience I gain a profound appreciation for life and the moment. Grateful for my friends who joined me:

Thank you for watching. Looking forward to the next venture.
Warning: Appropriate gear and attire are necessary to make any trek especially a winter summit. Always check with the Park Ranger before embarking on your journey. Sadly a fellow Alpinist lost their life to an Avalanche a week prior to our summit. www.news10.com/news/avalanche....

Hiking and bonding with a dog, there is nothing better than this.
You've encouraged me to get out hiking more and more.
Aw, thank you! That’s what this is all about
Great work. “If you no longer go for a gap that exists, you're no longer a racing driver.”

Been following along since the early minimalism days and just gotta say I love the direction you’re taking now, very inspiring to get out and hike :)
Thank you Sophia!!
This video was so cool! To hike and get to the top must feel surreal. The accomplishment must be euphoric and at the top you must’ve felt like you were in another world ! Even though you fell in TWICE you still trucked and made it. The confidence you have is unparalleled. I hope you get to even greater heights and make even more memories then before !
Gushing. Thank you Ki! 🥰
Wow!! What a view 😍😍 what a journey, so peaceful place, I felt like was me doing the journey 😍🙏🏻
Thank you Diana, surprisingly calming at the top

All good things come to an end. Taking what I learned from reviewing & applying it to creating.

@@jaygour appreciate you both hanging around since day 1!
Nice video, did you get a special document to use a drone, thanks
Saw that article. He was on the trap dike. I would never attempt that in a storm poor guy
for whatever reason, he had to get out there. rip
@@RazerView yeah.
Sooo did Ray lose his feet to frostbite or what?
Luckily my shoes were gaitered and goretex! The potholes I made up the way were another story
