So what happened was...
Theory time! We know that every SQUIP is linked to another right? I believe someone in Eminem's entourage was SQUIPed and that the SQUIP told Eminem's friend to leave a hockey stick in a favorable place to boost the odds of Eminem dying. This way Jeremy's SQUIP gets what he wants by making Jeremy gain Brooke's sympathy and Eminem's friend's SQUIP furthers his plans of becoming the new Eminem.

Is it weird this is my favorite song in the musical.
Like there’s this moment where the Squip gets intense. Challenges Jeremys manhood, shows that they gotta plan, and since neither give Jeremy motivation in that moment he notices Christine, changes the tune to match Jeremys own when he sees her, and convinced him to take the upgrade. It’s amazing.
Also Brooke being adorable.

Also someone pointed out something super interesting at 7:00 where Jeremy extends his hand but instead of taking it, the Squip raises his own at 7:04 so - The Squip isn't making a deal with Jeremy, Jeremy is making a deal with the Squip. The Squip has all the power. A really cool detail.

So like- no one’s gonna talk about the animation is like giving me goosebumps and is literally just so pressuring?- The animation’s scenes and how they move in specific places and you can tell where they are because the background is so clear- Literally the camera positions are like what you’d see in a movie which desperately made me want this animation to turn into a whole movie-

Oh my gosh, the part where Brooke is swinging with Jeremy and she glitches between herself and the Squip is just SO hypnotic and cool!!!! This artist is so good with these animatics that I want them to do a fully animated version of the play with their own touches and "cinematography" so badly!! There are so many great character moments in the animation! My favorite is 7:00 Jeremy reaches out his hand to the SQUIP and rather than take it, the SQUIP reaches his hand out too. This forces Jeremy to take the SQUIP's hand rather than the other way around. It's a little moment but it reinforces who's in control. Jeremy thinks he's making a decision but ultimately it's the SQUIP that's calling all of the shots.
It's great cuz it works with that little sting right at the end that very much is the SQUIPs leitmotif. It plays during the "the SQUIP song" right at the end too. This isn't Jeremy's victory, it's the SQUIPs

Honestly when you put yourself into Brooke's shoes I feel kinda bad for her. She really convinced herself that she was in love with Jeremy. She thought she was in love with Jeremy, yet the entire time he was just using her to get to Christine. (or cristine. However it’s spelled)

I dunno if this was intentional or not but I found 7:02-7:07 really interesting. Because, Jeremy first sticks out his hand to seal the upgrade deal, the Squip agrees but sticks his hand out instead, forcing Jeremy to shake his instead of the other way around. The Squip doesn't make the deal with Jeremy. Jeremy makes the deal with the Squip. The Squip is still in control.
